So I was searching on google for anything Posford-related.

I found some info on an obscure British composer by the name of George Posford, born in 1906. I also remember reading in an old interview with Hallucinogen that his granddad was a composer.

The resemblance is striking. The beady eyes, the diminishing hairline… Cripes - even the clothes and posture are identical.  Is the person in the picture really Simon

If we can find some music of his I’m sure that would confirm the Posford touch. I’d put a 5er on a theramin in there somewhere.

Anyone heard George’s stuff?

I heard “On The Balalaika”.... I haven’t detected the Posford-touch yet. But I am sure it is there.

In case you’re wondering where the f*** I picked this stuff up, there are some opera compilations available on Amazon… the track is on it.

EDIT: why is the image so screwed up? It keeps getting bumped to the bottom of the page. We can’t see the comparison between the Posfords

Doesn’t the name “On The Balalaika” say it all…

...I’d like to think so.

I agree with the last statement. Any chance you can upload that track to sendspace.com or something for us?

The actual title is “At the Balalaika”; actually. Just don’t expect Hallucinogen-sounds… we’re talking 1930s-opera here  I think the only tweaking available back then was shoving sheets of paper between the instrument-chords.

By the way - administrators: can’t you do something to show both Posfords in better alignment? Poor Posford sr. gets bumped to the bottom or covered with letters everytime someone replies. He deserves recognition.

EDIT: I solved it myself. Better to link the pics, apparently. But now Simon’s head got supersized, for some reason. My bad…  :?
