Honestly, what do you guys think about Infected Mushroom today?

I loved their old work.  :(

I liked Classical Mushroom a little, and that’s about it.

I like them very much, especially - Converting Vegetarians CD2, but their new work and new style just disappoint me… I think they are too talented to slip into pop music, but still they seem to like that
it was one of the reasons why when they came to Moscow 2 weeks ago to perform a live show, I stayed at home that evening….

Love it!

Mainly TG and CM and BPE too.

VD Stuff I didn’t hear yet except for the single.

I’m a fan, but it is hit or miss with their songs on each album.
Some I like, others I skip.
Classical Mushroom was great, their first okay too, Some songs off BP, a lot off the 2nd Conv. Veg. CD but pretty much ignore the first one.  I like their latest single, it will be interesting to hear what their new album is like.  I don’t mind seeing an artist(s) evolve their style—as long as they stay good.

I liked CM/TG/BP and CV CD2….. they are just TALENTED… and yeah their new is not my cup of tea but I still found few nice tracks at the supervisor… anyway they are not addictive as the CM/TG/BP.. I will still give a look on their VD CD since a fan is always a fan :D

I think Infected rocks. Don’t think I would have ever found out about Hallucinogen which of course lead me to everything else twisted provides. I agree Their new single isn’t that good but all their other albums are good. I always wanted them to sign onto Twisted. Then all the best would be on one label :/ it would be a monopoly. Right now I don’t think psy trance has a big market and a lot of djs aren’t really exposed so putting all the best on one label would help expose. I would think :/

It is a thought.  I agree to have all our faves on one label would be pretty sweet.

Just thought about that recently, that IM should go to twisted or start their own label…
I’m sure they’d earn more than now!

If they’d work together with Si P, being by twisted would be cool… I asked Erez in the chat recently about Fly Agaric (Hallucinogen & Infected Mushroom and (maybe) Michelle Adamson)... he said they just got started on the song and never really completed it… Both IM & Hallucinogen too busy for tours etc.

I’m sure they could do some nice work… maybe with Si P a new CD just IM and Hallucinogen… back to the good old Infected Psy-trance :twisted:

PS: Just read your post Zurr0… same here, I got to Hallucinogen from the Infected Mushroom forums etc., then I got to the rest like that too, like by you.

I think IM are very, very talented as mentioned I love their early stuff and especially BP Epire as it is so hard.

Not sure about the Twisted label though, it is a thought but they are so big now it’s probably worth their while starting a label of their own.

I’d love to hear more collaborations between SP + IM as in the ‘Fly’ track you could really hear both elements of the artists stand out.

Well I always think why BNE? I haven’t heard too many of the others that that record label provides, but I mean Infected is obviously their main attraction and well, I just think they could represent their music with a better label or like others were saying their own… but my dream would be for twisted to sign them but I have gained a lot of respect for Simon, I mean he obviously has passion for his music and just music in general by starting a record label, I hope in a few years everyone knows about Twisted. Record labels like this should be on top, and of course Nothing records.  :wink:

TBH, I don’t know how it went with the other Infected Mushroom CDs, but they might have went smoothly… and they are bringing out many CDs generally. What wakes my interest with Twisted is that it belongs to Si P, who made himself get that far, and the artists know each other well or work well with each other, like projects etc. (unless I am mistaken).

It’s different than someone who has money and just wants to make more out of it, while the rest work on it, since here there are all artists (Tip.World is good too in that aspect as far as I know).

I didn’t hear the leaked version… but doesn’t sound like it’ll be my kind of style at all, but I’ll anyways buy it.

Waited over a year for it, and now Benji and Si P took my excitement away too, with their YB tasters and release of the next YB (May 25th I hope), so…. I am really looking forward to that album… I mean REALLY!!!

I’m gonna buy IM as soon as it hits the shops, my mate has a leaked copy and informs me that it is HARD as nails - can’t wait.

I only liked few tracks from that vicious thingie… it’s a big dissapointment for me.. be count that ill be waiting for YB and ill preorder it when it is possible!!
anyway IM are gods yeah… but their new material is disgrace to what they did before ;p anyway it’s their choise to change style, etc..
and I assume that BNE/YOYO provide them alot of dollars for each cd and manage to get them good wealthy tours.
