I have to admit that thought I enjoy the remix album, it does not get as much play as the other fully Shpongled releases. 

But last evening the stars must have aligned just right.  I was fortunate enough to be driving in a nice, borrowed convertible with the top down and hi-end sound system cranked up.  It was around sunset and I decided to give it a listen.  I don’t know what happened, but I felt like I really heard some of the track for the first time and like I was shifting through different dimensions as I drove.  Fabulous experience.

My head felt like a frizbee…

Definitely a few sleeper hits on there

The OTT track is the obvious standout, but the Eat Static and especially the W.R.A. tracks have all gotten a fair bit of play. I like the “Once Upon The Sea” remix too.

I’ve noticed that Simon has been mixing the “Frisbee” remix with the original in some of his more recent Shpongle sets. As in, starting with the remix and then quickly fading to the original just before the beat drops. Magic!

Ott Remix and Esinjoim Remix are really good, other’s are OK.

I don’t listen to this as often but the OTT remix and the rmx of Bliss are just awesome.

Is it even possible to listen to Shpongle often enough?

Hello, I noticed that there seems to be 2 versions of the Remixed cd. I’m not talking about the bootleg. Twisted Records is selling a 8 track remixed cd, and on a few websites, like on amazon.co.uk, they have it with 11 tracks that are’nt the same as the 8 track version. Is it a track listing error or there is 2 differrent ‘remixed’ ?

Maybe a typo or ripoff. The titles aren’t correct and some are listed twice.

I am 99% certain there is only the one version.

What I don’t understand is why the Total Eclipse track isn’t mentioned! I mean, it’s just aural bliss, all of it… Actually it’s the track that introduced me to Shpongle, or at least the one that really opened up my ears. I kinda think it’s even better than the original Dorset Perception actually, if that’s even possible. When that kick drum drops at 2:31.. Just amazing musical moments, that’s what it is.
