Shpongle should play at Bonnaroo.

Sasha played last year, a full 4 hours of house trance, but Shpongle could do it too.

So should YB and Prometheus and Koxbox!

Tool is playing there, and if Tool and Simon really are chilling, then it wouldn’t be hard to get on the line-up, if it’s not too late.

But either way, I’m psyched for Bisco!!

Ridiculous idea, sorry.  Can you really see any of the Twisted acts playing at Bonnaroo??  Nooooooo.  With the few times that the crew has been able to venture out here to the U.S.  I would think that a festival like Bonnaroo would be a waste…...

that’s just my opinion though…

Shpongle at bonnaroo would be so sick. Won’t be happening this year though, I think the two late night shows are locked in - Sound Tribe Sector 9 on friday, Sasha + Digweed on sat. Maybe Sasha will play his dorset perception mix, I think that’s the best we can hope for :( It’s all about that late night STS9 show, they are going to tear it up all night! I haven’t heard anything about bisco playing, where did you hear that? I’m dying to see them…

I went to 2 Bonnaroos. The first one and the third one. I will never go back…...ever. I had a blast the first year, and the third year I wanted my money back. It is getting too big, too crowded, not enough water, too expensive. Not to mention its VERY commercial now and seems to have lost some of its original luster. The first year, it was like the NEW Woodstock and the music was so awesome. Every year since then, I have listened to live tracks and talked to people that have gone…....it just will not ever be the same. I mean…..come on…....the Police are going to be there this year and Tool. Shpongle doesn’t fit in that kind of a festival. I know all kinds of music will be there…....but the first year it was more or less just the Jam Band scene and thats it. Its really getting away from what it was suppose to be I think.

I honestly know people that go to Bonnaroo just for the drugs. What ever floats your boat I guess, but I love concerts for the music and thats it. I remember giving away all of my food and water to people as I was leaving because they had done nothing but do drugs all weekend. When a festival gets so big that people are dying every year…...its time to scale it down.

PLEASE don’t ever let Shpongle play the Roo. Please….........
Lets keep them a secret tongue laugh

shpongle most certainly should be at Bonnaroo

I’ve been to Bonnaroo twice and I don’t plan on stopping unless something ridiculous occurs. Yes, agreed, it has become somewhat popular and expensive, but the vibe with the right people is fantastic. Shpongle is exactly what people WANT to hear. (psst, they’re no secret) And as for the diss on Tool, c’mon, have you ever listened and/or analyzed their lyrics? The band’s sound may not be the “generic jamband” type, but they certainly can be in the same music collection as Shpongle (and they are..in my vehicle). As for the 07 Roo, I can’t wait to see STS9 and Tool and soooooooo many others.

Lyrics? When did a jam band ever rely on lyrics?

I’m not saying tool isn’t a jam band.

I’m just saying Bonnaroo is way over priced now and way to crowded. Smaller festivals are so much more personal and NOT crowded.

Doesn’t look like Shpongle will be doing any live sets anytime soon anyway. Raja isn’t down with the live scene at all. So all the bills say Simon Posford Shpongle DJ.

STS9 is a cool band. Seen them lots of times. Although the whole crystal worship thing gets kinda weird from time to time.

No need to get all defensive. The “secret” thing was called being sarcastic.

Didn’t mean to come off that way, I guess I just really enjoy Bonnaroo. Living this far south really sucks when it comes to music, Bonnaro is pretty much all I have within an easy drive.

Na, its cool man. I just didn’t want you to think I was attacking you. No worries.

I know what you mean man. I live in NC. Not much around here in the way of Large festivals. The smaller festivals are really alot of fun though.
Check some of those out sometime.
Where do you live?
