Yeah, Amos’s statement doesn’t make much sense really, because most music, no matter how meaningful, is still just music for the sake of having music…
If your creation does not have vision… and you are just pressing buttons and throwing out random samples… well obviously it is going to sound like trash. But I don’t think Amos has any real point in saying “FX for the sake of FX”, because there is no such deeper meaning for having effects… let’s not be ridiculous… come on!

i often use effects for the sake of using effects to do something different and make something FULL of vision and newness…. but i’m not doing it for some kind of DEEP DEEP meaning…. i mean what the fuck does she expect???
