listening to divine moments of truth (are you shpongled) is what I imagine tripping in a rainforest to be like

what other artists / tracks / music has that tribal, amazonian vibe?  i’m open to all styles of music

i’d appreciate any suggestions, because i dont really know what to search for!

Thats a question to ask…

Off the top of my head check out an ambient classic from 1979 Steve Hillage - Rainbow Dome music - every house hold should have a copy :D

I did check it out but it doesn’t really fit the bill for what i’m looking for - however that’s not to say it wasn’t a good listen none the less!

I guess to be more specific - something which is less electronic focused, with more acoustic (native) instruments and some rhythm

Ennio Morricone!!!!  LOL Well, it’s more american native’s music, not that much rainforest fell in it. But he definitely has the acoustic feelings and the tribal aspect, the soundtrack for The good, the bad, and the ugly is really good.

Rainforest Ambient Music. Hmmmmm!

I have a few suggestions that may be of interest:

1. Enigma - Not really rainforesty, but if it’s tribal chants or gregorian chanting you’re after, worth a listen to.
Some Enigma tracks u may like are “Callas Went Away”,“Carly’s Song”, “Smell Of Desire”, “Beyond The Invisible” and “The Piano”.

2. Brian Eno - “And Then So Clear” is a calming tune but I picture myself by the sea when I hear this. “An Ending” is also good. I believe Simon Posford once said that “Ambient 1 - Music For Airports” was one of his favourites.

3. Hubtone - Only heard the track “Train Ride” from this artist. Like the title suggests, u can imagine yourself on a train station platform when u hear this. Hubtone may have done one called “Rainforest walk” or “Amazon trek” or something like that. Worth a look into.

If it’s chilled Vibes u want, “Chicane”, “Miguel Migs”, “The Rhythm Slaves” and “Inland Knights” are a few suggestions.

Hope these helped   smile

don’t know if this fits the bill of what you’re looking for, but aes dana, in particular the last album, aftermath, has transported me to rainforests among other places…
