Iv always been unsure of DMT. I know of seasoned trippers who have doen it and never been the same again. That said I also know of people who have done it and had the most uplifting expereinces ever-bar none. Im content with the mushies an tabs though, a lot depends on how secure you are mentally, any unsurety and it will fuck you up. I know this is all obvious, an only requires a small dgree in commen sense but DMT really is another level,  I do wwant to do it, however I want to absolutely secure about doing it beforehand.

The first one can be a shocker.
Yet through it all it feels really NATURAL, obviously you’ve been there before, your brain makes it, to be used.
I read that the molecules in the blood brain barrier that protect the brain from toxins, become boats, which carry the DMT to the brain as fast as it can work.
Like your brain wants it.
It comes on so fast, cause your brain knows EXACTLY what to do with it.
as much as i like it listening to Trance when i do it, I really enjoy being in the complete silence and dark.
The audio of the Brain Blossoming is very beautiful.
Like an angel singing
And when you do it in the dark it don’t matter if your eyes are open or closed, it is tremndously stunning.
Because you are literally seeing in the dark
yet the Three dimensional space which now exsist is breathing and alive
with colours you’ve never scene before.
I think about the impact it must of had on our ancestors, when early man stumbled apon it.
I imagine them surrounded by all the sounds of the forest, in utter awe.
Dmt is the religious experience that is completely authentic. There is no way to deny its utter power to sweep you off your mortal coil.
It will shake the foundations of anyone of any spiritual path.
I speak these matters, because of the relation it has to my experience with Trance.
When i first began Trance dancing i would take LSD, and dancing with my eyes closed for hours. It was during these experiences that i began to go deeper, into spaces that were verging on the full blown DMT experience.
I began to feel that The repetitive Trance beat was opening up my brain, and that LSD was just a catylst for this to happen.
I felt a tremendous energy raise up my spine and when it hit my head, my visions would explode and i would go really deep, at some points i was experiencing Tranc Possession, were i felt otherworldly presences enter men and dance through me.
For i had never learned to dance like that before.
I was a teenager in the 90’s. the only real dancing i had done had been at concerts.
Lollapollza and others. Nivana, Janes Addiciton…
I then was intoduced to the Grateful Dead scene, But Jerrry had died. and i missed that boat.I had read lots about there scene. and athe Music was very Trance inducing.
Then I was introduced to Psy-Trance in Vancouver bc.
Dancing became a once a week event..I would enter these trance states and then for one week would be riding this incredible high.
I then was intorduced to DMT.
Being raised in a Christian cult, i was familar with the bible. And i found it interesting that the first story in the bible deals with two magical plants,
One who bestows knowledge.
And one which grants everlasting life.
Could this be from a long ago memory of when we first discovered psychedelic plants?
The drum beat has now become the DJ.
We no longer need rely on human hands to carry the beat.
We are experiencing a real Archaic Revival,
Trance dance and Magical plants.
I think it would be safe to say that DMT has influenced our beloved SHPONGLE makers.
TO bring that world in all its sonic splender back here for our senses is truly a beautiful thang.

the sound of a the universe ripping itself apart caught my immediate attention, I fell back on my bed, my eyes closed i began to travel through a large tunnel, made from cubes containing skulls on each side, their mouths opening and shutting. Then im in a what appears to be a waiting room, in the middle of the room there is a pillar, and this pillar is Tracnslucent, but hued green, and there is a plaque on it, it is really bright, and the language writteen on it i dont understand.
this creature arrives from my left and escorts me through another tunnel all the while the walls and the floor are wrapping around me like possibly what its like to be physically born?
As we turn the corner, There floats in front of me two beings, they look like manits beings. They have long arms and they carry some kind of transforming device., which looks mechanicaly organic.,, I begin to fade and my escort and the two mantis beings bein to panic, the one besid eme grabs me to my astonishment, the manits being runs up and puts this device right into my fore head, turning and as this is going on his face is right up close i realize its mouth is now open in one gulp it eats me,,,,,

fuckin incredible.

Cosmoz,

I really enjoyed reading your reports….however your last one seems a little…umm, disturbing?

I’ve also heard that you shouldn’t be obsessed with finding DMT; when the time is right, it will find you!

The Spirit Molecule is a great book for more info on the substance.

Also here’s an entertaining bit of audio where Joe Rogan (host of the popular TV show - Fear Factor) talks about DMT: http://www.joerogan.net/albums/roganaudio/Joe_Rogan_Explains_Life_002.mp3

Boom!

wicked link

hey tree tribe thanks for the wicked link, he seems a lot more interesting than i wouldve guessed from watching fear factor!

my one time on dmt was awesome, i was in my room at home, smoked some, looking at a book, put it down and then took a look at a painting i had done which was on the wall, which then proceeded to become a portal-like inner-exploding incredibly alive kind of painting - like the best hallucination i have ever seen, more elastic and powerful than acid visuals, not like a screen over reality, this was more like another very beautiful vibrating energy pulsing out from what i was looking at

i literally gawked with my jaw on the floor at how amazing it all was, feeling insired about my own artistic connection with the devine, etc etc -  this lasted around 5 minutes

i’d really like a bit more some time, im sure it’ll be around more and more as plants spread around the globe

for anyone interested i would recommend, not in the least bit scary for me, no negative effects at all

that said, you should always be careful with your brain/body, do good things to it, love it, its your only real possession, it deserves to be taken care of

Dmt is so abundant throughout the plant and animal kingdom
as the mystical and transformative powers of the spirit molecule become more understaood, i feel that people will be able to go out into the woods anywhere and find plants that contain DMT.
In the book TIKAL: “Tryptamines i have known and loved” Shulgin declares:
“DMT is in this flower over here, in that tree over there, and in yonder animal. It is most simply everywhere you look.”

It has only been 150 years since we in the West have had some inkiling to the magical properties of DMT.
In Latin America humanity has had a relationship with it for tens of thousands of years.
this would lead one to suspect that they have mapped this space, and have an understanding of its -inhabitants- and workings.
And really the only way to understand a expereince like this is to have it.
Canada is a little easier to undertake such exploration, serious students of shamanism need to challenge the laws, which clearly inhbited one from partaking of a religious experience.
The John Hopkins University recently released a report on the positive effects of
Magic mushrooms. Geez did it take them this long?

Comparrison to Salvia

I am wondering how DMT compares to Salvia. I took 4 HUGE rips of 20X and it blew my mind into new dimensions. I compare the difference between pot and acid the same as the difference between acid and salvia. I describe it as first leaving my body, then having no association with any physical or mental being. Completely dissociated, which was great. Easily the best trip I’ve ever had.
I am always looking for wierd and wonderfull drug experiences, can someone provided a comparrison of salvia and DMT?

I was curious about doing my own DMT extraction.

What would you folks say is the most effective way to create/extract your own DMT?

I hope to get hold of it soon, I may do an extraction. I think I would feel better if I did an extraction as it’s natural rather than synthetic, and then I’d of done all the work myself.  smile

I can’t say I’m not curious about DMT, and seriously considering trying it out for myself.

But from what I’ve read so far, it does not look like this stuff is to be taken lightly. I am mostly worried about persisting effects. I do have a history of mild anxiety disorder and depression, etc.

...well, maybe that’s a paradox. If I worry too much, maybe i WILL experience persisting effects. I know society has hammered it into my skull since pre-school, that drugs are bad and you don’t know what they’ll do to you, and blah-blah-blah.

I know my Bill Hicks and Terence McKenna on this subject… I just have one question:

can anyone in this forum give me at least 99,9 % assurance that if I smoke DMT, I won’t end up like a drooling, gibbering maniac?

You are right on the money when you say that DMT is not to be taken lightly.  There’s really nothing beyond it, except possibly death itself.  I can with almost absolute certainty tell you that ingesting it will not render you a drooling idiot; this chemical is naturally found in your brain and is possibly responsible for the phenomena that we call self-awareness.  That being said, I can’t promise that it won’t have some permanent mental effect on you…actually, if you do enough of it, I can virtually guarantee that it WILL have an effect.  Some experiences change a person, and this is certainly one of them.

My advice is ‘don’t sweat it’.  As you’ve probably heard, you don’t find it, it finds you.  When it finds you, you’ll know if you’re ready or not.  Just be warned: it comes on with all the subtlety and gentleness of a speeding freight train.
