Very interesting release, indeed. Quite Shpongle-like.

Flooting Grooves - Psydeburns, has just come out and it’s well worth checking out:

Listen to samples on Arabesque

and if you don’t know them their first album Upsyde Downe is just as good, but more chilled:

Listen to samples on Arabesque

I’ve always thought they would fit in well as Twisted artists.

Agreed. One of my favourite releases of last year.

The other one I’m surprised not to see listed here is Hypnagog - Dreaming in Pieces EP.

Hypnagog is Felix Greenlies (Terrafractyl) new project, and it’s a free (as in beer) download on Ektoplazm: Hypnagog - Dreaming in Pieces EP.

And yes, both of these albums are (let me make sure I’ve got my flame retardant underwear on…) better than Ineffable Mysteries.

The albums by Kliment and Yggdrasil are excellent, thanks for the recommendations. Especially Yggdrasil, i love how they managed to combine the styles of Shpongle and Younger Brother without sounding too much like a rip off.

My recommendations for now:

Tripswitch - Circuit Breaker

Some probably already know this release. Kinda house and dance-influenced psybient. Good stuff.

Aquafur - Fuzzy Emotions

This guy apparently has a whole ton of projects, including the rather well known Waterjuice. A lot of rock elements here, and even some hip hop ish stuff (which i don’t like much but oh well).

Peaking Goddess Collective - Organika

I describe this one to people as “if Shpongle was a jam band”. That’s what it sounds like. Flooting Grooves is part of this band.

Keep your recommendations coming, by the way. smile
