[quote author=“simonh”]i might be wrong but i rekon 80% of people only come to this forum to have a moan. great stuff. sometimes i wonder why we bother.
Hey simonh, I think overall most really like the DVD, some small complaints (or feedback, of what could be improved for a next time), but otherwise I believe most are very happy with it… maybe it looks worse than it is, but I REALLY enjoyed the DVD, more than I expected and more than when I buy a movie
Don’t take the words too serious, keep it up!
PS: The bonus audio CD is really cool! In other words, the DVD is worth it, just for the Audio CD alone!
Keep it up with the great stuff!
PPS: Was that you on the floor at Ott’s place in the studio tour?
edit: Positive feedback! (the rest mostly was a little off-topic or problems, that got solved later etc…)
[quote author=“PaulMolly”]I got it.
Really good so far, even spotted myself on the video.
Just got back from seeing Younger Brother, Shpongle and Ott at the Glade Festival.
Amazing. Younger Brother had Michele Adamson with them this time, nice surprise.
More review later when my brain has recovered.
[quote author=“electorbot.808”]Excellent interveiw section and studio tours with the artists, Ott mix is well nice and the bits from the event are very good to - couldn’t spot myself during the Shpongle bits but bought back great memeories of the event.
Ott’s new track Rogue Bagel is stunning and Hallucinogens Shabby tance is the usuall very high standard. Great to have Big tits by audio chemistry in the cd player to.
10/10…. :D
[quote author=“smn”]Got the DVD, went through most of the material. Studio tours still on the todo list. Good stuff
The bonus audio CD is great
[quote author=“Charlie”]Really good DVD. Ott’s VJ mix, the LSD video and bonus audio CD alone make it a worthy purchase, and the interviews and studio tours are very interesting. Ott’s tour, in particular, was hilarious.
Was hoping the video side of things would be a little more hi-tech, with sharper visuals, maybe incorporating some high-rendered computer graphics and the like but, in truth, the way it’s done works well, has a very organic feel which subsequently lends itself well to the music and is ideally suited to repeated viewing under the influence.
If I had to pick fault with the DVD it would be it’s all shot in 4:3 and stereo sound as opposed to widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1. The latter, in particular, could have been wicked as trance music is ideally suited to surround sound and, when implemented well, genuinely enhances the psychedelic effect. Hopefully the rumoured Shpongle DVD will include tracks mixed in 5.1 sound. But anyway, to conclude - this is well worth picking up.
[quote author=“Lukus”]The DVD is awesome The interviews and studio bits were really cool, and the DJ/DJ thing was great.
My only gripe is that the “Live” videos didn’t actually have live audio; I think it would have captured the feeling of being there better.
But can’t have it all! Great job guys
[quote author=“Silent Majority”]1. I am keeping the DVD b/c it works on my computer and my portable DVD player so i can rock out on planes with it.
2. I also dont like the fact that the audio isnt live and is dubbed over. to be honest, the “live” section of the DVD is the worst part. All the studio tours and interviews are where it’s at.
Main complaint (or feedback for improvement) was that the live shouldn’t have been dubbed, thats all.
Hope that cheered you up, and excited about making us happy again (in the future)!!!
