Mail sent!

Great support Simon!

Malekai>> I went to the post office the other day and they didnt have it. Makes no sense anyway if they stored it there. I mean its a DVD so it must be small enough for the mailman to put through the letterbox.

Yeeha I got it today!

Really really nice! I just watched the Simon Posford interview. Great! He’s really funny. smile
Im suprised that Benji, Simon and Ott all sems to mix thier tracks on a hardware mixer.
I wish there were more in depth and more technical interviews. Maybe next time.

AvS I know it makes no sense but thats what happened to me smile
I waited and waited, and the whole time it was at my post office. Then after 2 weeks I got a reminder from them saying “have you forgotten there is a package for you here?” and I was like “wtf I never got e previous reminder”.

Blame the stupid Norwegian postage system raspberry
(even though they are actually great)

The reason why i didnt get mine was because i wrote the wrong adress!  Doh! rolleyes
But i only wrote the wrong floor number and there are only 2 floors where i live, and my name is right there on my door! Only 4 doors to choose from so the postman must have walked right pass my door with the DVD - then returned it to the post office and they just sent it back to London!!!

Funny thought that the DVD had travelled from London, to right outside my door and then all the way back to England and then back to Denmark again and through my letterbox where it, just weeks ago, had been only 1 meter away from!  smile

Well I finally got around to buying me a copy of the DVD, it has been on my wishlist for ages but I’ve had a pretty expensive summer so it had to go on hold for a while.

First of all thanks to Twisted/Simonh for sending out a second copy to me after the first one didn’t arrive, it seems this has happened to a few of us, there are thieving posties all over the world then!

I’ve spent the best part of a day just watching the whole DVD from start to finish and a few bits over and over again. Really fascinating seeing the studio tours and interviews. I guess Simon Posford isn’t ever going to make a TV presenter, but still it is great to see into a part of his world in his studio, I love the fact that his little knocked together 5mins studio demo is better than most psytrance albums out there today lol !! The guy is a legend as far as I am concerned. And yeah, can you print some of those shpongle posters, I’ve got a nice bit of wall space for one of those.

Was great to see some memories from the halloween party, that really was a great night. The shpongle set for me was the highlight of the night, in that tiny little side room with two massive speaker stacks at the back. I stood right in front of one of the speakers during DMT, I don’t think I have been the same since.

So thanks to Twisted for putting this together - really insightful. Even if this project wasn’t commercially successful it will be cherished by me. Please do a shpongle DVD, everyone would want one surely?

cue geordie accent

Day 17 in the Big Twisted House, Benji has finally found the second mallet for his expensive Glockenspiel…..Ott had been using it to poke down the end of his spliff.
Meanwhile in the garden Tristan is appalled at finding Simon secretly studying a copy of Razzle behind the shed.

Tune in later for this weeks task, to see who can write a serious dance track that incorporates copious amounts of psychedelic kazoo. Benji is the favourite to win this one….

I just got this in my mail….

Fantastic…really amazing… Thanks for this guys. I really don’t know what to say… The Levitating Turtle VJ mix - words utterly fail here…

The bonus CD is amazing. I’ve been waiting for years to have Shabby Trance and Big Tits coming out of my speakers.

The interviews are really great. Just the kind of insight I’ve wanted since I pushed ‘play’ on “Space Pussy” back in 2001. Better than an interview on the web and even better than a backstage-pass. The Raja Ram-interview was a gas. He never ceases to amaze me. So fun and so full of positive energy. I always have a big smile on my face, listening to his verbal pearls.

The studio tours were really exciting and educational. I was surprised how much sound Benji could produce from toys. Heh! I don’t understand some of the technical bits, since I know fuck-all about making music. But Simon was an excellent guide and helped me understand a lot. I’ve always wondered what those 3 million buttons on the mixing desk do. Thanks for clarifying that… It was really a special thing to watch him mix that crazy shit live.

So… “And the day turned to night” is Simon’s finest achievement, in his own opinion (it also happens to be my favorite, coincidentally  )? Well, he ought to give it a spin at one of his sets sometime. I don’t know if its dancefloor material… but it’s certainly Shpongled in the truest sense of the word. It would be a fantastic thing to see that sense of joy and accomplishment on his face… he should give it a try.

I really enjoyed this DVD. I really hope you guys start making serious money soon, so we can expect more of this stuff coming our way. Keep up the good work.

Rating: 12/10

Oh, one more thing… when will that Shpongle-poster be for sale in the twisted shop???! It ROCKS!

rip it and burn it to NTSC. thats my best advice.

its common knowledge that it wasnt gonna work in many of the standard dvd players here in the states, its a format thing.
