Oo a chance to share more bands with people! smile

I guess I’ll just do what I’ve been liking a lot over the past year or so in no particular order without repeating an artist just so you guys have more stuff to check out.

Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? (...And the Day Turned to Night is like my favorite track of all time ever in the history of all history passed ever and ever!)
The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza - DANZA II: The Electric Boogaloo
Straight Reads The Line - The Author
Bluetech - Elementary Particles/Prima Materia dual CD
Ott - Blumenkraft (Though my favorite Ott song has to be The Queen Of All Everything)
Vibrasphere - Exploring the Tributaries (Archipelago was also in the running)
Celtic Cross - Hicksville (Timeless…)
Ott/Hallucinogen - Hallucinogen In Dub (I know this is Ott again but it’s also Hallucinogen so I figured it’s okay raspberry)
The Mountain Goats - Tallahasse
and more recently either I would pick Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden
or
Phutureprimitive - Sub Conscious

Good to see lots of good music in this thread!

-Dylan, HERETICtheory

My favorites usualy varies pretty heavily according to mood, and whatever phase I’m in, but here are the constants, in no particular order:

Gryphon - Red Queen to Gryphon Three (best album ever created, period.)
Steeleye Span - Hark! the village wait
Renaissance - Scheherazade and other stories
Shpongle - Nothing lasts but nothing is lost
John Renbourn - A maid in bedlam
Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom
Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination
Orbital - In Sides
Shpongle - Tales of the inexpressible

As you can see, a crazy mix between prog, folk/folk-rock, goa and psybient or whatever they call it these days. smile

I’ve never really thought about my top albums before, this is going to be HARD!

Here goes…

10. Infected Mushroom - I’m The Supervisor
I know, they’ve pretty much sold out these days but this album was one of the main things responsible for getting me into psychedelic music. It’ll always have a place in my heart.

9. Minus The Bear - Planet of Ice
I don’t listen to too much rock music these days but these guys are so unique and talented that they keep me coming back for more, haha.

8. Pluxus - Solid State
Quite strange music that doesn’t really sound like something that would normally catch my attention. There are lots of strange little bits and pieces and usual choices in competition that make it stand out from anything similar for me though.

7. Shpongle - Nothing Lasts… But Nothing Is Lost
The whole album is good but the last three tracks are my favourite thing to listen to on psychedelics. There are a couple of tracks on here that I don’t really feel though, a lot of people seem to disagree though.

6. Hallucinogen - Twisted
I’ve listened to the opening track a ridiculous amount of times! Lots of great songs on here plus it’s gapless. Any top 10 would be incomplete without it.

5. Jose Gonzalez - Veneer
There’re too many great tracks on here to name. Hints, Crosses and of course Heartbeats are probably my favourites though. It’s just such a good album for relaxing to.

4. Calyx & Teebee - Anatomy
I went through a phase of this album being pretty much all I listened to. A true dnb masterpiece.

3. Younger Brother - The Last Days of Gravity
Contains one of my all time favourite tracks, Psychic Gibbon. I really like most of the album but that track in particular blows me away every time.

2. Burial - Untrue
This album is so unbelievable deep and original. Every single track makes me think. It definitely deserves 2nd place in my top 10.

1. Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?
I adore this album! Contains my favourite Shpongle track Shpongle Spores, which would also place pretty highly in my all time favourite tracks in general.

Ineffable Mysteries might make it’s way in there one day, it’s not familiar enough yet though.

Haha definitely!  It’s like a mind defragmenter for me lol.  The peak hit at 11:28-29ish gets me everytime.  Those notes are so melodic and chaotic at the same time.  Like a beautiful explosion of consciousness or something, all kinds of colors and the energy is going up and down, left and right…  I could talk about that song forever man, I’m glad you like it too! smile

Cloudwalker: Yanni - Live at Acropolis is an amazing album.

I use to LOVE Yanni when I was little.
My first musical love really…
Inspired me to learn to play the piano.

Don’t care for it him much anymore, except for In My Time.
Just Yanni and a piano, nothing else…beautiful.

The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn….....YES!!!

Haha, nice to hear!! Just had a revelation discovering that album last year, even though I did know the later albums from the pink floyd. It is SO the best one they ever did, and one of the most psychedelic piece ever written.
