I’m just curious to see the variety of responses with this one….

List your top five “Most Magical” music moments.
Those certain moments in those certain tracks where you just feel something special.

I’m not asking you to divulge you’re most sacred musical moments.
(I for one would never share my sacred experiences like that)
I’m just looking for those “magical touch moments”.  smile

For me, In no particular order:

Hallucinogen - Bubble n’ Tweak “4:00 -4:45” - There is something absolutely mystifying about this part of the track. Its so earthy and throbbing. It’s something that can’t really be explained, but rather experienced….

Hallucinogen - Pipeworm “2:10 - 3:00” - This is my favorite Posford track of all time. The track starts out fairly simple with nothing special to it, but when that pulsing growl comes in, it takes it to a whole new level of psychedelic. The soundscapes and imagery this part of the track introduce is unbelievable.

Shpongle - Botanical Dimensions “0:40 - 2:40” - Lets face the facts folks…
When you first heard this track when the new album was released, you all cried.
Its such a beautiful intro the the 3rd Shpongle installation, and I feel, a proper tribute to Terrence Mckenna and his work. It’s absolutely gorgeous….

Younger Brother - A Bed Time Story “All” - This song really can’t be described in words… Its nothing but pure magic. I don’t fell that I need to explain myself. I think you all understand what I mean…

Bluetech - Triangle (Retriangulated)  “0:00 - 2:00” - I don’t know what it is, but there is something unremarkable peaceful and beautiful about this track. It’s truly psychedelic in a spiritual sense. This was actually the very first “psy-chillout” track I ever heard., and to this day it stands as one of my top favorites.

(Sheesh! I looked back over this list, and I’m missing so many other magical moments!
“Entheogenic - Twilight Eyes”...“Oko Kano - Inner Universe”...etc….
I couldn’t even list all the magical Shpongle experiences I’ve had!)

Lets see those lists people!

OK, so it could be a never ending list, but I’ll just write some.

Basically it’s the whole song which makes those moments in the songs very special.

Hallucinogen - LSD (all of them)
  In Dub = 4:35 - 7:30 (basically ALL)
Twisted & Live Mix = ALL
Hallucinogen - Deranger (5:00 - end of song) (but basically ALL)
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...

....... I give up, I could write about every song from Hallucinogen, then from a lot of songs from Shpongle, and from Prometheus and YB, beast etc.
like:

Hallucinogen - Trancespotter (5:00 - 8:00)
The Antidote - Empty Dot (Hallucinogen Remix) (5:00-end)
Hallucinogen - Alpha Centauri - (2:00 - 4:00) this hypnotic-like sound smile
Hallucinogen - Shamanix (4:30 - 7:15)
Hallucinogen - Fluoro Neuro Sponge (all)
Hallucinogen & Lucas - Pipeworm (5:50 - 6:45) [sounds like edited from/to Empty Dot (Rmx)]
...
Prometheus - MK Ultra (5:00 - 5:40)
Prometheus - Samothraki (3:45 - 5:20)
...
Infected Mushroom - Psycho (4:25 - 5:20)
Infected Mushroom - Bust A Move (all)
...

Yep, believe it or not, I have that feeling by tons of songs from Twisted Records. I could sit here all day and show you what songs and parts and albums etc. I friggin’ LOVE!

By Shpongle it’s mainly ALL songs from Are You Shpongled? and a bunchfrom Nothing Lasts.

By YB it’s mainly the voice (f.ex: Crumblenaut 1:10 - 2:10) and sound bending (f.ex: Scanner 5:00 - 6:00 or Weird on a monday night 7:40-8:50) stuff but basically I love all songs from them.

It’s impossible.

Some that come to mind…

1. Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio for Strings’ - Several spine-chilling moments
2. At the end of Pub - Summer (Original mix) about 14:35, when the main percussion drops     out.  This whole song is pure bliss, but this transitional section is perfect.
3. The end of Loess - Alt.Tone.Two (from 3D Concepts on Toytronic)
4. Amon Tobin - Hokkaido, 14:25 on the Gamerip version.  Some of the craziest percussion I’ve ever heard.
5. Julien Neto - Voy - An audible incarnation of hopeless, anguished sadness.

er…one more!
6. Shpongle - Falling Awake - After such an epic journey through pyschedelia, what better to wind things down than this absolutely gorgeous flamenco piece?  I would buy a whole CD of Pete Callard playing this music.

I really can’t answer this as there are far too many tracks to chose from.  I think a top 20 favourite tracks would be easier on the mind
