Hi,

I was wondering whether the Lo-Step edit of Dorset Perception can or will be made available digitally (for instance on Beatport or the like)

Should I lose hope of that ever happening?

Any information would be just grand.

I’m suprised that isn’t available as it was a very popular remix, I prefer the original thoough. smile

What is this lostep edit?
Are you refering to the version on the shpongle remixed album?
A different version?

Lostep is the duo of Australian prog producer Luke Chable and breaks meastro Phil K.  The Lostep remix of Dorset Perception was the B-side to the Beija Flor 12”.

To be honest, it’s not much different than the original - they basically just injected more upfront and busy percussion.

Eh….

As far as I’m concerned, they got it right the first time.

I’ll stick with the original.  smile

That’s why it’s a re-edit and not a remix

Agreed, although I felt that Chable kind of lost it after about 2004 (started doing rather mundane electro tracks), but he made some of my favorite progressive breaks tracks ever (‘Sealer’s Cove’, anyone?).

Nubreed/Dirty Fours are another decent Aussie production outfit.  Phil K is not one of them, though. smile  He’s more of a DJ than producer; I’ve yet to see him live, but I’ve heard that he can bury pretty much anyone technically, even James Zabiela.
