For me it’s Cosmosis, Voice of Cod, Talpa, Eat Static and Ozric Tentacles (not trance, but still psy ), I also like Infected Mushroom, although I’m a bit dissapointed at the way they’re heading now.
Astrix, (older) Astral Projection, Space Cat, Fractal Glider, Midimilliz to name a few I agree re: Infected Mushroom - I like some of their older stuff, but I don’t like where they are going… psy isn’t stadium rock.
Ok Dado/MWNN/Juno R/ mostly
The scene is settling but there are some artists who can still make the paradigm (and i dont mean gms ofcoursde)
Ive noticed an artist named Oszilla-nice quality.Check it out!tell me your opinion.its prog trance mostly but respectable work.
Unhappily Infected have been settled long time ago - now speaks the commercial
I don’t have many non-Twisted psy favourites, not these days, not anymore. The majority of modern psy bores me and it’s really only Twisted’s releases that keep me interested in the scene. If I had to choose one I’d go with Shulman, though his last album was a big disappointment. Still, hopefully it’s just a phase, maybe we’ll go full circle and in time loads of great psy will be produced once more.
Juno Reactor untli The Labirynth :? Infected Mushroom - wonder what’s their next album goin to be like; Michele Adamson, Astral Projection [long time ago], Pleiadians, Man With No Name, Protoculture

Did you like their last album? I didn’t like it. I thought it had too much singing, too many full-on elements, and fell a long way short of their first 3 albums, which were stunning.
[quote author=“Charlie”] Did you like their last album? (..)
...like I said… untli the labirynth… lacks that certine something that made earlier albums rock my sox off :D ... “I can feel the universe functioning…”
Sorry for the off-topic by the way. Cheers
I think he was talking about the last Infected Mushroom album IM The Supervisor.
I personally still like that album, although it’s sometimes a bit cheesy. I can’t help skipping the first track when I listen to the album, but the rest of the album is quite good, experimental, daring, sometimes a bit over the top… My favorite (like a lot of people) is still classical mushroom.

What is the quote from Ghost in the Shell “Overspecialize and you breed in weakness”?
I think it’s nice to see artists moving in new directions and forming their own path. I’m sure some people could argue and say that Infected Mushrooms are just creating the more marketable music (ie. more mass appeal)... But personally I like their new stuff. Their tracks still have good energy and are well produced. (I’d never see them live, though… unless they drop that damn singing. Really all he is doing is wearing that microphone - it’s like people bond with artists who have “real instruments”)
It’s a subject that is covered over and over again, and a testament to it is the fact that the last Shpongle album is, well… supposedly the last. Sure they may not be able to cash in on the name recognition for future releases - but at least there is no pressure to appeal to the expectations of the fans.
Plus I guarantee that if Simon Posford releases a new Hallucinogen album, 50% of us would say “This was good, but it didn’t sound anything like Twisted :( “.
I guess I feel sorta bad for the Mushies because there is so much Infected Mushroom bashing going around right now. I’m not saying that is what is going on in this thread, but it just came to my mind. All these people (not here) saying stuff like “Oh, DIS-Infected Mushrooms? Huh-huh”.
I agree there’s a lot of people bashing IM, I even heard about people throwing rocks at them at a live concert (this could be untrue, but the idea is horrifying enough). I can’t believe people can show that much disrespect to artists who are only trying to enjoy themselves and the audience by making great music. Actually in my last post I was trying to have a critical opinion on the last album, without bashing IM. I still like the album and I also like artist who try out new things and styles and keep experimenting with music, so thumbs up for IM.
I’m looking forward to seeing them live at the Fullmoon Festival, I hope it’ll be great, but I sure do hope that Duvdev doesn’t grab his microphone.
Hmmmm….so many good psytrance artists out there…where do I start? Aside form Twisted…my favorites would have to be Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, Asura, Entheogenic, Talpa, Filteria, Vibrasphere, Tripswitch, Michelle Adamson, and Juno Reactor.

If I had a penny for everytime I heard someone say that.
