How long did it take to accumulate all of that equipment? For some reason I love hearing about the history of studio gear. Sometimes certain pieces have a story to tell.

Andi and I used to run a commercial recording studio a while ago, so most of it came from there. Also a fair bit of ebay purchasing over the years!

I have a sneaking suspicion that i might have built that circuitbent alphabet desk toy up between the speakers on the left. At least it looks very much like one that i built a while back.

Did you get it from circuitbenders.co.uk by any chance?

sounds rather unhygenic, didn’t she mind?

Its always cool to see our machines out and about. A couple of weeks back i came across an Israeli psytrance site who somehow had a circuitbenders machine in their studio, i certainly don’t remember sending one to israel. :?

We usually have a couple of wierd circuitbent machines available or if you are interested in a Speak&Spell; go the the website at www.circuitbenders.co.uk and click on the Speak&spell; bit on the ALL AVAILABLE MODS dropdown menu

CKM, you should definitely do something about you monitoring setup, the tweeters should be at ear’s height raspberry

And IMHO, hardware doesn’t do jack if you can’t make music in the first place.

Of course, I would love a Virus TI, but is it really necessary with loads and loads of hardware? You can only have so many leading elements in your song, and in psy, sample manipulation can do alot.

Btw, if anyone know of a hardware-sampler with granular abilities and true sample manipulation, let me know smile  ( no, Roland V-synth doesn’t quite cut it raspberry )
