Off of the album “Bass, Sweat, & Tears” by Gaudi - at the begininng of the track ‘Kimiyaa E Moraad’, there’s some flute playing which sounds exactly like the flute used at 7:10 in ‘Star Shpongled Banner’. Naturally, I’d assume that Raja would be the one playing the flute, but on the Gaudi album, it credits Errol Campbell for the flute on that track.

Here’s the Discogs for the album:

It’s the same melody, the same sample, just slowed down.  It’s not a different recording, which one cand deduce because (for example) during the second track “Sufani” you can hear a sample off of Ott’s Blumenkraft, the chanting melody bit from the second track I believe.
In many other circles of musicians, this sampling would be attacked as plagiarism… but I believe that it is an offer of the highest form of praise.
Who works in Gaudi, by the way?

Just a heads up, Gaudi didn’t sample Ott as far as I know, they just both grabbed the same vocal track from a third party and used it.
