And it seems I am the only shpongle fan within 800 miles.

It’s all country western bullshit and 50cent around here, I get the STRANGEST looks when I drive around in my car blasting dorset perception.

My DREAM is to see shpongle in concert, I literally have dreams of it then wake up absolutely heartbroken. What are the chances shpongle will ever play in America?

P.S. has anyone ever experienced a “sphongle orgasm”? like when you are so into a song that you literally have felt like you have never heard something so fucking beautiful at that very moment?

I get the same looks

Hey man,  Im right around the corner in Buffalo, NY.  Im in dental school at the University at Buffalo and when I drive around campus raging Shpongle, OTT, Hallu, and YB I def get the weirdest looks also.  And regarding your dream of seeing Posford, He virtually comes to Camp Bisco (in NY) every year and did new years with them last year and most likely this year also.  I also get that feeling you were describing every time on turn on anything that is Posford gold.

It was very good.  Camden, NJ (a little dark and scary, being the Crack Capital of the US.  Overlooking the New Jersey River into Philly, PA.)
Phish fans:  you can stay in King of Prussia, PA right outside Philadelphia and it is one of the more convenient chill spots after the concert.  You can visit the intersection of Wilson Ave. and King of Prussia St.
I drove in for 12 hours from Indianapolis, IN the day before and then drove back (the only driver.)
Kind of pricey… but what is money really?  Especially considering the concert venue… The Tweeter Center was designed for incredible sound, and so we heard.  Quadraphonic sound for the first leg of the night.
2006>7 they played with the Disco Biscuits and will probably do so this year also.  The show format was as follows.
12-30-06 Hallucinogen Live (I missed that one, probably the best part.)
12-31-06 Disco Biscuits
Younger Brother (Began playing at midnight.)
          Disco Biscuits finished their set

then, when you exit the stage area… a latenight set until 7 AM
Prometheus
Shpongle

During the Shpongle set, I met eyes with both Si and Benji and for a period of time Simon was literally “fucking me with an astral dildo” in my third eye and my blow-hole from a distance.  Or maybe he’s always doing that.

I feel your pain, I live in coastal Massachusetts and have yet to meet another person that has heard of Shpongle around here

Spreading the word yourself helps out though…

Few things~

gravisEP   i’m from MA so you aren’t alone and i’ve been diggin the sounds of the twisted crew ever since i first experienced posford at camp bisco 4.  maybe i’ll see you around at a show or something.

Fubar~  ya gotta keep up on shows and festivals like previously mentioned.  posford has made appearances at camp bisco for the last 3 years, he played in arkansas this august, knitting factory in NY, and of course NYE eve run last year at the efactory (which was THE SHIT) and camden.  he also had a thing for the WEST coast this summer.  i would like to see more EAST coast appearances, but that’s because i’m selfish.  hope to see ya in the future.

Phluff-  unfortunately the NYE party last year came to an end around 5 am when security went psycho.  it would of been sweet if we stayed till the sun came up though!  and i’m skeptical of them appearing at NYE although it would make my year again, just like last year!

i hope you aren’t trying to recall NYE of last year.  that was ryan keeley painting, not alex grey.  he finished the painting he had started during set break at the biscuits show the evening before.  the painting was of a naked chic with dollar signs on her tits.
not sure why you put “lol” but i suggest you work on cognitive skills because this is the second time you have posted incorrect info about that one particular show…....

p.s. - i know this came off kinda bitchy, so i apologize in advance.  i just am passionate about music and art and think that what keeley does is absolutely hott.  i also like gettin the facts straight.  wink

I feel your pain. I live in suburban Texas, and I’m almost completely sure I’m the only student in my entire (giant) high school that is even aware of Shpongle, let alone a rabid fan.

I’ve never actually dreamed of Shpongle concerts at night, but I have however had many a daydream about them - all of them wonderful.

And yes, I have experienced a Shponglegasm. I have all three albums nearly committed to memory, and somehow that only makes them more and more common than when I first hear the tracks. Whenever I introduce one of my friends to Shpongle and they don’t really enjoy it all that much, I just feel more and more like I was thrown onto Earth from some other musically-inclined planet with all the other Posfordians (yes, I did just say “Posfordians”), and it’s terribly distressing.

Yes! that was it.  It was a good picture, but I will continue to search it out for I still cannot fully recal it.
Not alex grey.  Now I can tapestry the name “Ryan Keeley” over a sequence of misinformed thought energies.

phluff - Keeley is an amazing artist.  below are some links to check out the painting in progress.  like i mentioned before, he started that the night before at the efactory and finished it up on NYE throughout the night.  finished product was put on ebay, not sure if it sold or not but check out his other work too…. really hott stuff.  he also is known for doing the artwork for Camp Bisco 5 (the panels that framed the stage).  Enjoy.
