I was listening to YB2 just now, and I realized; I’m really glad I’m not Simon Posford.

Because if I was - what kind of music would amaze me, give me chills, withstand hundreds and hundreds of plays without getting old and still give me that intense aesthetic rush every time that some of Simons music does?

Then I thought - Simon is most likely amazed by SOME music out there. I mean, he must be, right?

So Simon, if you read this, it would be totally cool if you could give some examples of music that you really find brilliant. smile

Cheers!

(BTW, I don’t mean to neglect Benji’s role in the production of the YB2 album. He’s great too, no doubt.)

I’d like to know what kind of music amazes Benji !
I see him writing here and there and therefore we might hear him speaking of both..

Judging by the latest album there is definitely some Pink Floyd style in there which would lead to one presuming they dig Floyd. The Cure maybe also

Watch the Twisted DVD. The Younger Brother-interview sheds some light on these answers.

I read elsewhere that Simon (at the moment, at least) digs some latino-duo who really fly on acoustic guitars… “gabriella-something”... and another bloke called Flanger with amazing production-skills.

But like most of us, these guys pick up new stuff all the time and move into new territory.

Personaly don’t like it at all.

I went on a bit of a rant about the man behind Flanger, if anyone is keen

RODRIGO Y GABRIELLA is the act.

They are fucking amazing and if you’re NOT listening to them, you’re missing out HARD.
