I’m quite new to making music, but I was hoping I could get some feedback on a track I did the final mix of just the other day.

loved it. very loungey, and flows very well. i loved the sample at the beginning but i dont feel it fits with the track. i think it could work better in a more uptempo track, and the ambience you got goin in the beginnin is good enough for an intro IMO. The sample at the end fits perfectly with the track though.

I would definitely buy an album full of tracks similar to this. holy **** i just realized your track is 8 minutes long, i seriously thought it was only half that. good job mate

To start with cool picture for the track.

Sweet sample to begin with but agreed with Joshua about if it fits the track. Remember bunnies are bouncy and fast creatures so maybe it would fit a more full on track.
Anyway that’s a small point.
The track in itself has some great ideas and sounds. However I would say maybe pan some of the sounds out more. It seems very clustered around centre and to the left a little. I would pan some right to balance it out more. (Does that make sense?) I think this would emphasize the sounds you have. There are some sweet melodies and the track has a great flow. There are some small parts in there that make you think really sweet idea.
The sample at the end closes the track nicely. A beautiful expression in the face.

I think this is a cool track but it has the potential to be great. Just tweak with the mixing a little, the production seems cool. Maybe a little more post production but nothing much.

Thanks for the input guys. Honestly, this is only the 3rd project I think I could call an actual piece of music, so I’m still sorta finding my way in all this.

I think part of the reason the initial sounds out of whack is the laughter sample I used has a faint dance beat behind it that I couldn’t mask very effectively. It seems a bit misleading as to the sound of the track, but I like the maniacal laughter in it so much I had a hard time taking it out.

As for the balance of the mix DiMuTech, I think you have something there. I’m going to have to go back and tweak some of the balance of this track.
