whatever this is, I have to make it there. its rare enough to even have a posford sighting anywhere in the united states, much less in murphysboro, illinois of all places.

The event is called Underground Sound 4 and it is a 3 day rave-festival. The last 3 Underground Sounds were amazing and they featured artists such as Infected Mushroom, Uberzone, Skylab, and Aphorditie.

It is a wonderful venue held in a natural cavelike formation. I’m so psyched for this year, SIMON POSTFORD! Skazi, and Evol Intent are playing.

I am sooo not missing this for anything.  The chance to see Posford in action is something I can’t let pass me by.  My little brother has never been to a festival so this will be a good chance for him to experience something magical.

at first thought you would think yes this is the festy i bring my borther to…but i did some research and im going to guess this is going to be a lil to burningman- esque in the sense of the fan base which really makes or breaks a show….i think its going to be a lot of raver kids and everythat that entials…now if your on that side of things and you think the hippie fan base brings the probs then were at a stalemate, and ill see you there regardless

I think I understand your burningman -esc point. Underground Sound is a “rave festival”. In that it has both the qualities of a rave, and that of a music festival/gathering. The people at UGS are extremely diverse and awesome. You will find your recreational ravers, spiritual shamans, traveling wanderers, psychonauts, counter-culture, and college frat kids. But if you’re not open minded toward the freedom to do whatever you want, then UGS is not a place for you. People of all types and ages usually come, and thats what makes it so wonderful.

i am not worry about the crowd because I am sure a majority will be mellow.  I am coming with, hopefully, a nice group of friends and we are all very cool, intelligent people so it will be fun for sure.  I am going for the chance to see Hallucinogen live and hopefully ask him a quick question about his studio set up.  The twisted DVD left me with a few things I would like to ask him about but its all about seeing him in action.

Now the question is….will Raja make an appearance?  I really hope he does because that would make all the more awesome.

I don’t know if it is confirmed or not, but the word around STLRaver, is that he will be there. !

I can’t think of anything important enough to ask/say to Simon, other than just thanking him for all his great musical contributions. I really want to get a hold of Twisted! I’m helping a friend build a studio at the moment, and it would be interesting to see how Simon goes about things.

Only a few more months.

Question, which day and at what time does Hallucinogen and Shpongle DJ play?

Another question, does a ticket get 1 person in, or 1 car in?  I went to Underground Sound 2 and we just showed up and the guys let me and my buddy in for like 40 bucks ... they didn’t even care.  We could have easily gotten in for free, or so it seemed at the time. 

Oh and one more question .... wtf is Shpongle DJ Set?  Would it be simon? Why don’t they just throw raja on a plane and let Shpongle onto the bill.

I’m not bitching because Shpongle and the best light show on Earth will be absolute euphoria.  When I went to UGS2, the light show during Infected Mushroom was super intense.  I’m sure it’ll be WAY better with Shpongle.
