I’m not bitching because Shpongle and the best light show on Earth will be absolute euphoria.  When I went to UGS2, the light show during Infected Mushroom was super intense.  I’m sure it’ll be WAY better with Shpongle.

It is 50$ per person presale (and 60$ at the gate) so order a presale ticket ASAP. There will also be a charge of 10$ for each car. I know, people are annoyed by this, but they are doing it to try and promote carpooling, and keep people from leaving and coming back during the day. Shpongle DJ set is Simon with his decks and mixer etc, this is not LIVE Shpongle unfortunately. I talked to Tom Foolery, and he said that Raja wanted to stay in Tokyo one more day or something, thats why hes not coming.  If you thought the light show at ugs2 was nice, it was nothing compared to ugs3, and if you thought ugs3 was intense, this year should rock the socks off anything formally seen in the midwest

holy shit what a show! simon was killin it with the hallucinogen set; the strangled cat > big tits was some of the sickest stuff ive ever heard! kind of annoying that he couldnt start until 5 AM, but it wasnt his fault and he more than made up for it. whoever was playing before simon came on was really getting on my nerves though with all the “make some noise motherfuckers!” comments.

the shpongle dj set was also great during the sunrise; heard a couple of new (to me) tracks, like the very first one. as for the other acts at ugs4, honestly I couldnt care less about them, but the lights were cool. overall it was definitely a fun weekend.

Missed it…;-(

But I read that he is going to be in Chicago at the Abbey in September.  I am planning on attending that even if I have to sell my soul or left testicle to make it.  OK, not that extreme but I will do whatever to get there.

Yea, its a shame by the time the shpongle set started, many people were already asleep. Still, it was great actually being behind the dj booth watching Simon do his thing! I It was also bad they he had to keep telling the crew that he needed his monitors turned up and down…

but yea, i loved he event, Evol Intent was amazing as always, and ooah was interesting.
