Hi there

I bought Last days… from amazon marketplace last week and it arrived today, there is a problem! the CD doesnt work , ive tried it in my cd/dvd player, PC and Mac and nowt. On the PC it comes up as a riskDisk(whatever that maybe).
On the underside of the disk around the centre is “www.art-spec.co.uk RISK081007D2   01”

Ive went to the website and they are a repo house, I just want to check that this is indeed the repo house used to print the younger brother CD, if not it looks like something fishy is going on(someone ripping of twisted cds maybe)

My first thought is that you were scammed and the CD intentionally doesnt work.
However I’ve been buying CDs on amazon for years and never had any problems.
Try contacting the seller.

That seems strange. Did you buy through another seller via Amazon? Or directly through Amazon?
Hate to be harsh but the lesson to be learnt is it’s safer to buy your twisted albums through the official Twisted shop here on this site. If there are any problems(which I’ve not had personally) then you can easily fix it here.

Hope you can get it fixed all the same.

Ive contacted the seller and he is as miffed about it as I am, just gotta send it back and he’ll sort it out.
I shouldnt HAVE to buy only from twisted official site to be fair, ive bought hundreds of cds(and only about 1% of those are from label sites) and this has never happened before.

Can anybody confirm the details on the underside(read) of the cd just to see if it matches? only so i can inform twisted if there is something untoward happening.

hehe odd if this is the case as i would have thought they(the scammers) would have targeted a some what bigger act than Younger Brother(dont get me wrong in my world they are huge) as not many people have heard of them as say (urrgh) Robbie Williams :D

Saying all that this might just be a case of a (rare) bad cd pressing

I’m not saying that you should buy all your albums via the labels. Just with smaller labels like twisted it helps them so they are able to keep producing and releasing more fantastic albums. Just my opinion though not having a dig or anything.

Too be fair its probably just a faulty cd, my mac cd drive makes some lovely clicking noises when i put it in.

My cd says IMPRESS TWSCD32 on the underside so I don’t know if it is the same. Doesn’t seem to be.

No i doesnt sound the same at all, hmmm the plot thickens….I update with more info as soon as i know more…

Well ive had a refund and all is fine now, im a bit concerned tho that these odd cds are floating about out there…...

Cool you got a refund. That is some good news at least. Are you going to get yourself a new copy? It’s worth it in my opinion. A truly fantastic album

i don’t know if twisted licensed the cd to outside distributors or not, but if so, and you’re not in the UK, then that could be why the underside is different as it would have been pressed in a different plant.

I am indeed in the uk and also the pressing plant is a uk company.

Maybe someone at twisted will spot this thread and shed some light on the subject.

Yup I certainly ordered another copy(direct from amazon this time…with Burials first album too…hehe to make it up to

the younger brother cd has IMPRESS and TWSCD32 printed on the underside. (in fact the same goes for ALL twisted releases)
there are no other variations. if you have something else written there, it’s an illegal bootleg copy and you should send it back to where your bought it and demand your money back. please also inform the ifpi

If you would like me to send you all the info on the purchase so you can send this to the ifpi, I will gladly do this just let me know, I can contact them myself but maybe it’ll work best If you contact them direct.

On a final note, its so sad that a small label is being hit like this by bootleggers, illegal downloading is bad enough, but people going to the lengths of this is just offensive to the extreme.

I hope this kind of thing will soon be a thing of the past(sadly probably not the case)

All the more reason to help those smaller labels by buying directly from them imo. But this isn’t a topic about that.
