hahahahaa. dude you’re hilarious.

you’ve obviously never bothered to try to listen to other stuff outside of twisted or you’d know how much other good music there is out there. you think twisted are the first people to do this kinda music? yeah, they do it amazingly well, but they’re not the only ones that do crazy ill shit. if you took your head out of your ass, maybe you’d discover that smile

just cause a product is awesome doesn’t give the company free reign to jerk us around. we don’t think twisted owes us anything, except maybe what they’ve already told us they’d give us.

oh… and if a restaurant sucks and doesn’t take their customers advice, they usually get shut down. that shit happens all the time. where the hell do you live that shit like that doesn’t happen?

we will still continue to love twisted’s music, that will never change. nothing lasts… but nothing is lost will continue to be a top album for us. we just hope that in the future, twisted is more responsible about it’s release dates and such. we have faith in them.

and with that, our piece has been said. you may keep going, if you’d like. we’re just going to hope this album comes out before 2010.

Radioactive Sandwich…. Hmmmmm, sounds similar to “INFECTED MUSHROOM”. And I’ve listened to your music but it would be rude of me to comment about it here, here, here, here, here (sorry, this sentence got really repetitive) . Now you’re attacking those that appreciate Twisted and Twisted as well, good job buddy!!!! And I’ve listened to a lot of other music out there and in my OPINION nothing else in this genre comes anywhere close to Hallucinogen or Shpongle, PERIOD!!! Some of it is OK to listen to but it still has that “forgettable” factor attached to it. I’m glad to see that all of your bitching has payed off since Twisted is really communicating with us now and they’ve just released twenty new albums to please all of you complainers. Why don’t you guys show some respect and possibly ask Twisted in a POSITIVE manner why things are the way that they are? If they don’t want to answer then just, DEAL WITH IT!!!!

HA!!!! Funny, Cloudwalker! Thanks for the humor, I think we all need to lighten up a bit.  : )

But, as far as Radioactive goes…. I’ve seen his posts in the past about how he has stolen music and software and how Infected Mushroom sucks nowadays etc, so his credibility with me is lacking. I think he needs to worry about his own music ventures IMHO and stop spending all of his time hogging up bandwidth here trying to do self promotions and complaining about Twisted at the same time. Respect is a powerful thing!!!  : )

cloudwalker is a funny dude.

i hope you realize that we’re not attacking twisted. we’re simply venting our frustrations towards a business that has, time after time, failed to keep its word. that’s our gripe. we’ve met and chilled with si p and si b and both of them are wonderful people. we know they don’t MEAN to do this, but that doesn’t excuse it. if something’s broke, you fix it, you don’t allow it to continue. we have the utmost respect for twisted, which is why we’re so insanely upset when they are unable to meet the deadlines that they themselves have set on numerous occasions. we’ve been supporting the posford experience going on 10 years now.

at the end of the day, twisted is a business. they are out to make money on their product. how can a business expect to make money on a product if they’re constantly delaying the release and alienating fans by not making up for it. a great example is that whole dr. pepper/GNR fiasco. DP offered the free drink, but on the day that you could claim your coupon, they were overloaded with people and couldnt’ fulfill everyones request. so instead of just saying sorry, to bad, they actually made up for it by extending the submission period by a day or 2 longer. so although DP fucked up, they took responsability for it and made it better the best they could.

as for attacking you, you called us whiny bitches basically, so what do you expect? we don’t even know you, so we’d have no reason to attack you. and by no means were we attacking any other twisted fans. we love twisted fans. most of our fans are twisted fans. we need them!

anyone who thinks vicious delicious is a good album really needs to have their ears checked. seriously. it is one of hte biggest pieces of crap we’ve ever heard in our entire lives. and this is coming from people that have seen IM a million times and adore everything through IM the Supervisor.

As for our band name, it actually wasn’t inspired in anyway by IM, it was inspired by one of us being very inhebriated and attempting to microwave a sandwich that, by all means, should NOT have been microwaved. and you do realize that infected mushroom stole THEIR name from an israeli punk band that broke up before IM started, right? there was a band already WITH that name…

and feel free to comment on our music. we’d love to hear your opinion. that’s why we post here. we don’t expect everyone to love our shit, we know some people love it and some don’t. we’ve had more than our fair share of both good and bad reviews (hell, we got one review that basically said we sucked more than a shit sandwich!). honestly though, we do what we love and we have a blast doing it, and if people love it, then great, if not, then so be it. music is purely a matter of taste, and not everyone has the same tastes.

are you telling me you’ve NEVER downloaded a song from a p2p network in your entire life? seriously? i can assure you that between the two of us, we could open our own record store with the amount of music we’ve purchased over the years.

yes, we have downloaded software, then bought it if we liked it. if we can’t afford it, we try and find freeware to compensate until we are able to afford it. though i don’t see what that has to do with our “credibility”. it’s not like we denied it at any point.

we have no hard feelings towards you, and in general, we still adore twisted. we’re unhappy with what’s going on, and that’s ok. it’s alright to be angry with the things you love. if they didn’t inspire passion, either positive or negative, then your feelings wouldn’t be real.

at the end of the day though, radioactive sandwich loves everyone (well almost everyone), and we certainly love everyone at twisted and everyone passionate enough to spread the gospel of their artists.

Radioactive, I hear you and understand what you’re trying to say, so please accept my offer of a truce. After thinking about why we are all here either defending or accusing, I came to the conclusion that the problem isn’t really Twisted’s behavior but the lack of quality new music to satisfy our electronic needs. Your comments about IM basically straying from the older WICKED Psytrance that they use to make (classical, vegetarians etc.) should bring up the fact that we haven’t had any new Hallucinogen in over ten years. I agree that the good stuff is so few and far in between that when something new that has great potential is lured in front of your face then taken away it can be frustrating. I think Twisted means well but they do seem to be better at creating unique music than trying to be perfect businessmen. Look what happened to Metallica and other bands when they shifted their focus from being musicians first to being businessmen first. I hope that the folks at Twisted are reading these comments and understand how much their music means to all of us out here. I think we can all agree on that!  : )

water under the bridge my friend.

however, just in case you missed it, there have been a few new hallucinogen tracks here and there over the past few years that we’re sure you know about. if not, let us know and we’ll give you the names. our library of twisted music is 2nd to none (except the twisted chaps themselves).

our beef isn’t with the music, our beef isn’t with the people, our beef is with the business, plain and simple.

now let’s be friends smile

as for IM, they used to be one of our favorite acts. seriously. when we heard VD (venereal disease?) we almost died laughing. we saw them in NY 2 years ago and had to leave cause it was just so fucking bad it hurt. hahaah.

Radioactive, have you also noticed that IM has a new flashy website with both of them on the first page in fancy business suits and that they moved their studio to the commercial music mecca of Los Angeles? My point being that sometimes flash can kill a musicians creative abilities. I too wish that they would go more back to their roots musically but that’s their decision not mine. Just like I really think the world needs more Hallucinogen albums but that’s up to Simon. But on a positive note that leaves a really big void in the market for some of us to take advantage of. Start producing if you have the desire and talent, people. We need more magic to come out of our speakers!!!  : )

Can we all be B.O.F.Fs? :D :D :D

I used to like IM.  First 2 albums only. Then everything became shit.

Back on topic:
Can someone from Twisted give us a guesstimate on when HiDL will be released?
A month?  A particular season?  A year? Anything?

At this point I’d really like to hear the 1000 reasons why we dont have this yet.  But I’d damn sure settle for when we WILL have it!

I’ve been following this thread for over two weeks now but just couldn’t be bothered to log on after the album didn’t come out on time (again).  Dispite Twisted putting on amazing gigs a couple things always puzzle me about the label and they don’t seem to improve after 12 years now.

1. Release dates are always put back.  Why don’t the ablums get delivered, website updated and pre orders taken, then post out? - simple really and wouldn’t get people’s backs up? As someone mentioned it’s like the fans get the piss taken out of them with this.

2. You have to remember that originally this year it was Benji’s down tempo album that was going to be released in Nov but this has also gone awol with no update? (correct me if I’ve missed something).

3. No new artists on Twisted for ages now, I know the feedback is there’s none good enough but other labels manage. What happened to Tristan, Koxbox, GBU & Backrrom beats?

4. I’d love to see another Unusal Suspects but as in point 3 there’s only 3 artists now - Shpongle, Ott and Prometheus. (Hallucingoen doesn’t count anymore as it’s been far too long now and no solid update)

5. What’s happened to the Metal Sharon album and Twisted cd10 which also went awol years ago with no update.

6. I’m happy that there’s a new website coming but to be honest I’d prefer just more music on time and updated info on changes as above etc.

7. I know times are hard at the mo but are there just too fewer people trying to run the label or is Simon H just running round like a headless chicken?

I guess that’s it. Om

Good post, some nice points.  I don’t even know why I come on here anymore, it’s not like any of these comments make any difference to Twisted.  The delays are frustrating, but Twisted is more focused on the music and not focused on fans/customers (not necessarily a bad thing), so what can you do.

Yeah, there’s a lot we’re waiting for - Benji’s downtempo, Metal Sharon, Hallucinogen 3, Umberloid (might not even be on Twisted), a follow-up to any of the comps - Backroom Beats or Usual Suspects, follow-ups from GBU, Koxbox, etc. and no word on any of it. I was actually pretty happy when God Save the Machine came out, I would love to see something like that again.  Even if it’s not on Twisted, actuallybetter because the release will be more reliable, but just to see some new stuff from hallucinogen was great.  Probably won’t happen again, so it doesn’t much matter anyway.

The lack of new artists is also a problem.  Granted there is a lack of talent out there that could live up to the Twisted name, there are some that are getting there, but for those, why would they even want to release something on Twisted?  Twisted can’t get a release of previously recorded live music out after a year and a half, come on.  I agree with electrobot - screw the website, put out some music, we would be much happier.

One thing that surprised me was the amount of time that is put into these tracks.  Not to take anything away from the tracks, they’re perfect, we all love them.  But I read an interview with Benji after Corridor of Mirrors came out, he said 9th took him a couple of days to make.  I just heard an interview with Simon where he said that for the upcoming Shpongle album, he’s spending one to two weeks on each track.  Granted that is working 16 hour or days or whatever, and there’s always tinkering to be done after the tracks are created, but I would have thought the tracks took longer to make.  If that’s the case, I would think albums could come out more frequently than once every three years.  I don’t know.  It’s hard to say, I’m definitely not judging, I know these guys have busy lives, it’s not all about the music, they produce as much as they produce and quality shouldn’t be sacrificed.

I can sum up what everybody wants in one sentence:
Release more music.
