Still nothing in the shop :(
Maybe i should get some sleep and check again later today… If it’s not there then i hope we get a short explaination atleast. Not that i’m in a position to demand anything, but i think it would be fair to give the most loyal fans a tiny bit of attention?
[quote author=“simonh”]gad, this release is delayed for 1000 reasons i don’t want to go into. we will update the site once we have a fixed release date for it.
thanks for your patience and understanding.
well, i just hope it will be out soon as possible and that everything is well with all of you at twisted records.
thanks for your response ( i guess better late than ever )

thx for answer
can’t wait for this album, the previews in the shop sounded awesome
Can you go ahead and kick me in the F’n Sac already! I’m tired of gettin blue balls!
Geez….only record company I’ve ever seen that cant make a release date.
Actually…..If you can go ahead and announce the Shpongle live DVD so we can get an early start on the next round of blue balls…...that’d be great…..
Here’s an idea…..there are a ton of bands that record themselves every night and within 48 hrs have a great sbd+aud matrix up for download/sale. Great model that I bet anyone here would be more than happy with!
Finally an answer from Twisted. I’m still very disappointed though. If we had been warned that it would be delayed some time before through a news article it would be okay, but when we have to wait until the releasedate to find out it’s really annoying :/
Don’t get me wrong…it’s worth the wait! It’s just frustrating is all
Ugh,what a total bummer,I was hoping to get this album today!!
But,like the saying goes, good things come to those who wait!
Thats almost blasphemy to rip on Twisted Records! The shit they put out is simply amazing!!So what if an album gets pushed back a week or so (hopefully).
Now if I could get some Twisted tee shirts my size,THAT would make my Christmas
In the mean time,I think Ill fire up a blunt and listen to some
Now Playing - Hallucinogen in Dub - solstice (warwick bassmonkey mix)
seriously… how do you guys stay in business? not trying to be rude, but we both work at labels in the US and if this shit happened as often with us as it did with you, we’d have shut down shop ages ago due to fans just telling us to fuck off.
you know we love you and your music and worship the speakers that push the sounds into our eardrums, but this is just starting to get offensive. this is what, the 3rd album in a ROW to be delayed? not to mention the fact that this is the 2nd time this particular album has been delayed!
how are we, as fans, supposed to feel when the artists/label can’t respect us enough to get shit done on time? you’re basically saying to us “we know you’re going to buy our music no matter what, so we don’t really care if you get it when we said you were going to get it.”
Wow, and I thought my post was harsh. ha. Well it looks like what I expected to happen has happened. Obviously very disappointing, but I’m trying to look at the big picture. All of the albums they put out are great, I will probably listen to them for the rest of my life, so in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter that these get delayed in the short term. At the same time, I think it’s important for Twisted to realize that there is a huge amount of anticipation for these albums and it’s very hard on us as fans to get the impression that Twisted just doesn’t care enough to make their commitments.
I’m sure they would like to release the album and I’d like to think that there are factors beyond their control (as Simonh put it, “1000 reasons”), so I feel bad getting upset, but when this happens multiple times on almost every release, there is definitely a loss of credibility. Not that they care, but whatever. So anyway, what am I going to do? I’m a fan and I’m going to have to just wait longer for it to finally be released. One thing I will say is that I will not buy this album. I’ll download it and listen to it, but I’m not going to buy it.
and another thing, if the problem is with the plant, or the art, then just release it digitally! that’s the whole point of digital releases. it allows a label to not worry about the physical copy. especially if the digital version is still being sold. if the actual album is incomplete at this point, even though the artists involved knew of the release date months in advance, then that’s just plain lame.
we will not stop listening to twisted’s music, but how we get the music from now on is up in the air as we feel like they just don’t care.
