I have decided to bite the bullet and fly out to the UK from Canada just to witness this once in a lifetime experience to see shpongle live. Im on a really tight budget though so Im asking if anyone in the london area knows of or can reccommend any decent cheap accomodations, like hostels or something. Your help is greatly appreciated and I hope to see you there!!

The generator is fairly cheap and cheerful - we’ve stayed there a few times. I tend to use Octopus travel to find places to stay its quite good. Good luck and much fun to be had in October me thinks x.

This morning I was trying on outfits, what shall I wear? lol, I do not worry about how I look but this is important :D do I wear my dress the colour of the sky or the shiny one with butterflies on - oh dilema.

There are lots of sites on London hotels and hostels. It really depends what you’re looking for.

Anyone else having issues with a foreign credit card when trying to pay for the tickets on the roundhouse website??...

Seems as though as it does not recognise my address then it kicks out the CC order.

Worked fine for me, I payed with Visa
My billing address is Norwegian and it accepted that fine
It wouldn’t accept my delivery address though so I sent it to a middleman

All is good…..  :D

Phoned up the booking line at the Roundhouse and was all done and dusted in 5 minutes.

Yo, Groovygravy, a few of us will be heading over from Cow-Town! It looks like a pretty healthy Canadian contingent will be representing in London. I picked up a bunch of guides, and we’ve got plenty of time to research it, so I’m sure you can find something good. What is your accommodation budget per night? How long do you think you’ll be there? (My wife and my pal and I are thinking of a week in London, then when we’re there, get a cheap flight for a week in Berlin or Barcelona or something. Inter-Europe flights are dirt cheap over there, and pretty much anywhere else will be less expensive than London). Peace!

Hey I have a question for folks traveling from North America- Do you guys think airfares will come down because of fuel costs? I’m wondering when to get my ticket. I’m guessing this summer might be hurting for air travel (probably good for the planet, but you gotta do what you gotta do…), some airlines are cutting jobs, whatcha think? Wait until later this summer?

The way its going with the price of oil and airlines fella I would book as soon as you can and probably sharpish.

As an idea I found this site www.farecompare.com to be very handy in sorting out al lthe flight sites together and spitting out something decent.

You can also specify a price and it will notify you by email when and if its reached.
