I guess one of the other labels I follow very closley is the Ultimae label from France. Quite different from Twisted in that it is more ambient/electronic stuff.

The two recent albums I bought are Solar Fields - Earth Shine and Hol Bauman - Human.

Absolute quality….just wondered if any other forum regulars are into the Ultimae sound :?:

I liked all of their releases so far. Solar Fields is my favorite of their artists. Overall top sound quality and graphic design. I think they are the best downtempo label at the moment.

Their last release (Hol Baumann - Human) is fantastic indeed..
Can’t wait for a new Aes Dana & HUVA Network :shock: album.

yes, great label.

I’d have to say that Carbon Based Lifeforms is their best offering in my opinion. Hydroponic Garden is a fantastic album, as is World of Sleepers.

it’s obviously quite different from the twisted sound that we all love but i think that alongside with twisted records, the ultimae label is leading the way to a more exciting place !

I was listening to the samples on the weekend and it sounds stunning.  I hope it turns up this week as I pre ordered it ages ago but I know from the letter that they have had problems.

I’m still listening to Solar Fields - Earth Shine and Hol Bauman alot along with older stuff. 

The great thing about the Ultimae label along like Twisted is the longevity of the albums - its such a great sound!  Last night I listened to Oxycanta vol 1 which I’d recommend getting before it goes out of print.  :D

one of my all-time favorite from ultimae albums is Hydroponic Garden by CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS ( a real masterpiece ! ) and it was released in 2003 and i still listen to it nowadays and quite enjoy it as well !  :D
also i was lucky to get an original copy of that album before it went out of print.

and like you said, the twisted albums also have the longevity magic…

why i didn’t ordered it yet…

i mean, it sounds like the most interesting and juicy trance album that i’ve heard in the past few years !
