I would just like to reiterate that the samples for this album are still inactive at the Twisted Shop… would be nice to see them up again for those of us who did not hear them the first time around.

.

Hi Astrognomix, you can listen to short samples here - http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/twi/twi1cd034.html

can’t wait

No that is the original album from 2002 or something. The release coming next month is when Twisted had a party in May 2007 and it is a recording of the live set with SiP, Ott, Youth, Jackson and David Nock. It is a different arrangement and some new tracks that aren’t on the original

I am officially shocked, and awed…. Speechless as to how much I love the new sounds of H in Dub and overly eager to hear this masterful piece in full.

I agree, it sounds REALLY awesome!

My friends always complain that my music is too electronic (they do like Shpongle though), but I’ll show them with this album!:-D

I really love the drums and the guitars.. When I hear samples of Cicada and Rent Boy, it vaguely reminds me of Porcupine Tree (a VERY good progressive rock band influenced by Pink Floyd).. Their latest albums should be listened to by everyone, it’s really good music.

Anyway, this album seems to contain everything I long for in music: a good balance between acoustic/real instruments and electronic asskicking, strong and melodic basslines, very good drums, energy!, chill!!! And the guitars are also a plus for me grin

It’s like ‘progressive psydub-reggae with a flavour of rock’.

:D I like that… and agree, the live drums and guitar really add depth to the sound and I think will help to make it attractive to a wider audience. Really can’t wait for this…

A promo version of this album just went for 14 pounds on eBay.co.uk.
I wanted it, but not for 14 pounds. I’ll wait then.

EDIT:

WOAH! Amazon.co.uk says May 4th release date!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hallucinogen-Dub-Live-Brixton-Academy/dp/B0024F13KK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1240771837&sr=8-2

A release date pushed forward? Twisted Records? Am I on planet earth? :D

i wanna say “about time” but im not going to get my hopes up, i wanted to listen to this during the nice weather of last summer, so if it comes out this summer that will be a nice suprise…sadly though i will not be buying it. i said it in another thread how offended i was with the lack of updates and im sticking to my word, they waited too long to see my money so now they wont see it. I will be downloading it though raspberry

Hmm… that’s interesting. The album (which we know has been finished) disappears for a while then pops up again to be (allegedly) released in May. I think Twisted Records was
‘up to something’ regarding this date. I think they intentionally wished to wait until the beginning of summer to release the album… Let’s face it, Hallucinogen In Dub has a ‘summery’ feel to it, especially with the reggae influences. I like this plan, as a summer release gives me a lot more time and energy to fully enjoy a good album instead of other months when I go to school and stuff.

Because the tryptamine shape-shifting entities are creating things with vibrations, I am convinced that there is no other explanation than that they are highly advanced beings trying to teach humans how the so-called “string theory” constructs reality.

It was complete but didn’t have the quality expected, so the band wanted it remastered (3 times). There were definitely other problems in the way that I don’t know of though.
