Man, there has been such an influx of crappy amateur psychill lately…
But this track in an exception. This track really is a shining light from the dark.
Absolutely brilliantly laid out.
Very, dare I say, psychedelic? :D
I find all to often that psychill songs get monotonous about halfway through. But not this track.
Through the entire song, you kept it evolving and kept it interesting.
Kudos to you, thats a difficult thing to accomplish.
Very reminiscent of Return to Tunguska.
I love how the synths and instruments just roll and interweave with the beat.
Gorgeous!
2 suggestions:
1) I thought the snare could be a little more powerful and upfront.
It sounded a somewhat weak and muffled in the background.
2) I would add a little bit of reverb to your voice solo.
It sounded a bit too upfront and separated from the mix.
another thing I was thinking about…
Maybe add some fx to your shakers and hihat, but only at parts.
Maybe a flanger, or a phaser?
Once again, this is a brilliant track.
I haven’t heard this good of an unsigned psychill track in a loooooooong time.
Thanks for sharing!
