I would say their presence is totally obvious, of course you dont see little green men walking around and such but there are other ways to make your presence known. I dont think mushrooms are alien technology, i think mushrooms are the aliens, highly intelligent. Paul Stamets talks about how mushrooms were the first species to exist on land, and without mushrooms, none of the life you see around you would have even been possible. So mushrooms are probably the oldest species on the planet, and the crazy thing is, they were exactly the same a billion years ago as they are today. That means they were already highly evolved when all other life on this planet was just starting, all plants and animals have evolved from mushrooms. Mushroom spores release at 25? times the g-force it takes a space shuttle to break thru earths gravitational feild and launch into space, so mushroom spores are more than capable of releasing into space. Also mushroom spores can survive some of the most extreme conditions in the universe, extreme heat, extreme cold, radiation, you name it. That means they can break thru the atmosphere into space, and survive the conditions of space, traveling billiions of lightyears if needed until they land somewhere, wehn they land, they start to make mushrooms.
Now we assume that because we talk and walk around making a mess of things and destroying this beautiful planet that we are the smartest and most advanced species on the planet, this is a rediculous idea. I think ive said this on a previous thread, as human beings we are like arrogant little children that think we know everything. I would say that plants are way more advanced than we are, they live in harmony with the planet. They dont have to strive and struggle to survive as we do, they just live off of the energy of the planet and the universe. I would say that fungi is even more advanced than plants, and it is very possible that mushrooms are from another planet.
