So I was just wondering, since the Shpongle gig is on Halloween, are people going to wear costumes?
Though it’s hardly new to dress up for gigs like this, I thought maybe it would be more of it this time since the gig is on the night of Halloween?
I imagine there will be alot who will dress up. But I’m just going to be wearing my shpongle hoodie and pants as I don’t fancy carting a load of fancy dress gear from Sweden as it’s basically a flying visit for the show and after party.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Besides, if I were ever to dress up I don’t think my ideas are very “shponglish”. I have a few custom Shpongle/Ott shirts I made that I think I’d rather wear.
I think it’s way more important to dress up for a Halloween party in Canada/US. We wouldn’t go out on Halloween unless we were dressed up, we’d stay at home and give out candy, or lamer still, turn off the lights and pretend not to be home. I gotta think a crazy costume party is why Shpongle picked Halloween for the event.

Gotta agree with you there, have not gone out much on Halloween in many years, this is gonna be a first - now we have to decide - bring costumes with us, or purchase them online and pick em up in London before the show?
I have been musing this point too. I have no idea what to wear & Im not used to going out to clubs and things. I am also a bit worried about my “lying down listening to Shpongle with my eyes closed thing”, I might need a cushion for the gig imagine that, going to see your favourite band and wanting to lie down. I’m sure it will be fine, oh but what to wear? arrrrgh I’m not hugely egotisitcal and don’t generally care what I am wearing but this is Shpongle and I wouldnt want them to think I hadnt made an effort. I think I might be getting overly worried for no reason.
Im definately going in fancy dress and i encourage the rest of the twisters to do the same. parties look so damn amazing when theyre full of a bunch of lunatics dress in the craziest of costumes. case point: twisted’s 10th anniversary party!! but it dont work if only a few people do it
oh and if you want a reaaally easy but cool fancy dress costume try this one: wear all black and buy a white mask, some white gloves and perhaps some white braces and go as a street mime. i wore that to the last one and it cost me about
BashroomTowel I know how you feel, I’m the same way
Will be fine though. I mean, I do the same with Ott but during his gigs I cant stand still ^^
Btw I’m not much of a dressup. Will be going in rave-trousers and a Shpongle shirt. In the afterparty I’ll switch to my Ott shirt (only me and Ott have one :D)
But me and Nik was thinking maybe we’d see if Camden has some Halloween stash. If I find a cool hat or something then maybe I’ll wear it. Semi-spooky
We’re just coming in for the show and afterparty and leave the next morning at about 0900 hrs. We also have no baggage allowance just carry on as it cost extra with ryanair plus we have no place to leave the bags anyway.
So yeah might have a look out for a halloween hat in Camden.
These folks have a shop right on Chalk Farm Rd. We begged them to let us order and pick up on the 30th or 31st - they refused, telling us they are far too busy those days, we would likekly not even get in the door.
Im a bit worried about my fake beard now, what if they think Im a terrorist and wont let me into the roundhouse? Witch without fake beard it is then Oh I am very very excitable at the moment. I’m not very good at going out but this will be ‘well fun’. Hoopy Sunday
