We are doing an interview soon, for a DVD… are there any questions that you guys would particularly like to be answered?  Hopefully questions that fire the imagination, and make me laugh….. as opposed to the normal “when did you start? what software do you use?” etc…
the last DVD was drier than…my grandmother…. i’d like this one to be more enjoyable!

Hallucinogen (Simon P.?), other than the typical interview stuff that everyone does on music DVD’s could you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add an “in the studio” section where you show us how you actually build a track. The studio tours on the last DVD were really nice but an in depth “in the studio” section with maybe someone asking you questions while you build a track would set the new DVD a step above the others out there. We’ve listened to your wonderful music over the years and now we would love to actually see how it’s created. Even a bonus DVD bundled with the new DVD with a production emphasis would probably double your sales numbers. I’m sure many other will agree with this request. Thanks!

Questions:
- String cheese or String Theory?
- Do you believe in Deja Vu?
- Do you believe in Deja Vu?
- Any luck getting someone to build a hardware version of “Dfx Buffer Override” yet?
- Clockwork Orange or James Bond?
- During a late night in the studio would we find you drinking coffee, tea or an alcoholic beverage?

Cheers!!!

How about
Do you like any of the following. Fawlty Towers, South Park, Robot Chicken, Monty Python?
Did you watch the Olympics at all?
Are you in love?
I believe I read somewhere (but don’t know where) you worked at Virgin.
A ) Is this true? and
B) Did you ever meet Branson? If you did work there.

I’ll think of some more questions tomorrow but now it’s 11:45 in the evening, I have a day off tomorrow and I’ve had a couple of glasses of red wine so now it’s time for some chilling and Floyd

Yes! most importantly, when will we hear new Metal Sharon? :D

questions.. hmmm..

1) What would a short animated movie or graphic novel on shpongleland be like if someone were to make it? a story? Adventures of Simon Posford and Raja Ram? LOL

2) What is your philosophy on entheogens?

3) Give us a deeper insight into what goes through your mind when you create your music?

4) What do you think of year 2012? and supernatural stuff like aliens?

i’ll think of more raspberry

If Shpongle were approached my a major label and offered a record-deal, on the condition of certain….adjustments…for a mainstream audience, would you be prepared to do it? Would you compromise your artistic integrity in order to sell more records?

What is the strangest noise you’ve come up with in the studio? (this question was asked in the Ministry of Sound interview in 2005, but was never answered) Can you surprise yourselves? Do you sometimes create sound, and then stop and wonder: “Whoa! Where the f*** did that one come from???!”

And finally…. can you do an Acapella-version of Divine Moment of Truth?

By the way. I didn’t find the DVD dry, not at all.

Then again, I have never met your grandmother….

describe some of your visions that led to, or were created from, one of your favorite tracks (let’s say day turned to light).

describe a most bizarre moment you recall of raja in the studio while you were trying to work.

if you were to fly overhead shpongle-land, and chose to land at some point of landscape, what would it be? what would you hear in it?

+1 on this one. It would be the biggest shame in electronic music’s history if we never get to hear an album from these two geniuses.

Some questions from me:

-Who’s the craziest shpongle fan you’ve ever met?
-What recent music have you been enjoying most lately?
-Are you going to incorporate the bays into the next YB album? If so you should use the heritage orchestra who they’ve recently been touring with too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY54PDPEvvc  :D
-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
-Are we going to have to wait another 4 years for the next shpongle live concert?

That’s all i can think of for now, but looking forward to the DVD!!

Do you have any words of advice for those musicians that want to follow in your footsteps?

What are a couple of your favorite songs?  (not ones you’ve made)

Favorite place to be? What is the setting? What would you be doing?

What is the recipe for making psychedelic music?

What is something that you’ve always wanted to do musically, but have never been able to accomplish?

Terrence McKenna vs Raja Ram in a battle of wits. Who would win?

What is the strangest noise you’ve come up with in the studio? Can you surprise yourselves? Do you sometimes create sound, and then stop and wonder: “Whoa! Where the f*** did that one come from???!”

Indeed! This is a brilliant question.

Oh come on, this is Shpongle we’re talking about!

I’m sure he’d be willing to compromise if he could release under an anonymous alias, but never would Simon actually use the Shpongle project for any watered-down garbage.

ass, boobs, legs, else?
have you ever downloaded pirated music?
while the tech abilities are rising, is it easier to be satisfied with the final result of your music production?
is it the “exist” or the “non exist” which gives you inspiration?
studio work VS live gig?
Raja Ram VS acid trip?
How can you tell if you a person who dreams he is a butterfly, or a butterfly which dreams he is a person?

Considering the style of Younger Brother’s second album (which sound like psychedelic rock more than anything) and your affection towards that kind of music (Pink Floyd for example) do you think of Younger Brother as a band that you dreamed (when you were younger) of having/playing in?

[quote author=“DiMuTech”] Monty Python?

If this is a yes, then where would you find/search for the fish?  smile

Will there ever be a Rework of Snarling & Gamma Goblins?
Are there Records made of LiveGigs?
How about releasing them someday? (Me for example would like to play some variations of some tracks…not always the same)
Did you ever had sex on your music?
How about future projects…is there anything planned with other people around Twisted?
What about the TWISTEDDOWNLOAD…is it workin fine?
What is your favourite Dancetrack (own and other artist)?
What is your favourite Relax-sound? What do you hear when you wanna come down after busy days?
How do you invent titles? I mean…do you listen to your track and say: yes this one sounds like a “Jiggle of the Sphinx” or what?
What about the scene? What do you think of organizers (not named out)? Is it always a pleasure to play somewhere? What do you do against jetlag?
Could I book you for a private party ???  rolleyes  LOL  rolleyes
Have you ever played anonymous somewhere…so nobody knew you were playing…and they just realized you at the decks?

...so many questions to ask…
this would bomb every interview tongue laugh

Ten questions for SImon and Raja:

Strangest thing you ever woke up wearing?

Most interesting way you’ve ever taken a psychedelic drug?

If you were to play for the queen mum, and she happened to throw her bra at you, etiquette dictates you
a) smile and wear it on your head
or
b) roll it up and smoke it

Please complete this phrase:
boom thunk-a thunk-a screech boom thunk-a thunk-a…

What color is bass shaped like?

It’s been said your fondness for deejaying commando-style is the secret to your great sets. How do you respond?

I have a sample collection consisting solely of bathroom noises, ping pong balls and seagulls. What production tips can you give me?

Your next album is rumored to be called “Psytrance Bitch!” Where did the inspiration for that name come from?

If you could sample any number of any animals making a sound, how many of what would it sound like?

Why isn’t that music you’ve been working on finished?
