Do you feel the same way as you do now about finishing a track or album as you did when you first began as a DJ?

Do you feel like having such a large fan base has diminished any emotional attachments to the songs you have created in the last few years?

How have your personal goals changed now that you are a largely known and popular DJ?

Do you feel accomplished as an artist as well as a business man?

First off, I thought your last DVD was rather insightful.  It got me in the right direction on what gear to get.  I don’t think I would have realized how useful kids music toys can be.  I have came across all kinds of different new sounds from these.  Just wish I still had my speak and spell.

Now for the interrogation…

Favorite odor enhancer? (incense, candles, burning hair, etc.)

Your Favorite Doctor? (from doctor who)

What’s the worst experience you have ever had on hallucinogens and what did you do to help you calm yourself down and stay grounded?

Highest Tetris Score?

Where do babies come from?

Do you think the united states will ever earn any respect back from the rest of the world?

How do you invent titles? I mean…do you listen to your track and say: yes this one sounds like a “Jiggle of the Sphinx” or what?

I would like to know the answer on this one also. Artists from Twisted mostly have quite original track titles…

Have you completely abandoned Celtic Cross project or do you plan to suprise us with another album someday (which would be grrrrrreat   smile )?

Most of these questions seem to be geared toward Simon…
You guys need to keep in mind that this is a Shpongle interview…not a Posford interview…
Soooo…questions like ‘Metal Sharon’ and ‘Celtic Cross’ should be saved for another time….

One more question for Shpongle:

In all the Shpongle live events, you always see Raja blowing on a brightly colored horn…
It also appear in quite a few Shpongle pictures as well.  Care to explain the story behind the the horn?

I’d love to hear Raja’s answers to mine even more I think. Good question about the horn too…

Yeah, I guess you’re right, but Simon could answer these questions here, on the forum, though…  smile

I could see that Raja has plenty of crazy thingies that he was putting on the desk before the concert so I would like to know what’s the story behind all those items?

If you chart a progression of psychedelic music from the mid 1960s (The Acid Test vinyl releases, 13th Floor elevators, Grateful Dead “Space”) through the 80s and 90s (Soft Boys, Spacemen 3, Butthole Surfers) to the present (Shpongle- psychedelic music par excellence), where do you think the trajectory is taking psychedelic music over the next decade(s)?

Personally I can’t wait until everybody is using 5.1 for everything

Can you imagine Shpongle in surround sound?

Like it doesn’t cast enough of a spell in stereo already.
Definitely hoping to see it someday…
Speaking of which, curious to know of any symbolism in Shpongle or YB?

[quote author=“digitalex”]Ten questions for SImon and Raja:

Strangest thing you ever woke up wearing?

Most interesting way you’ve ever taken a psychedelic drug?

If you were to play for the queen mum, and she happened to throw her bra at you, etiquette dictates you
a) smile and wear it on your head
or
b) roll it up and smoke it

Please complete this phrase:
boom thunk-a thunk-a screech boom thunk-a thunk-a…

What color is bass shaped like?

It’s been said your fondness for deejaying commando-style is the secret to your great sets. How do you respond?

I have a sample collection consisting solely of bathroom noises, ping pong balls and seagulls. What production tips can you give me?

Your next album is rumored to be called “Psytrance Bitch!” Where did the inspiration for that name come from?

If you could sample any number of any animals making a sound, how many of what would it sound like?

Why isn’t that music you’ve been working on finished?

lol I love these questions, Psytrance Bitch!!! haha *cough IM *uncough

thanks :D ..not to compare Si P to the “bash you over the head with cheese” full-on characters, who i could see wanting to call an album that, but would never get away with it. Si P or Benji’d be the only ones who could but alas, don’t think their English manners would let them.

Simon, Shpongle is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail as well as incorporating a wide range of vintage synths. That being said, would you describe yourself as putting the “anal” in “analog”?

*edit* a regrettable post-smoke-post

Here’s mine:

How would you describe people that listen to Shpongle?
Why Shpongle “could be” associated with drugs?
What do you like in Shpongle?
