Everything works fine for me, my only complaint is that the front page is too busy with too many scrollbars.

Recommendations:

Move the “Latest releases” pane - make it the front page after clicking the “Merchandise” tab.

Get rid of the Sphongle Mail Login box - you already have a tab for shpongle mail at the top. (Well, once it’s working)

The two panes at the bottom (upcoming events, forum activity) are unecessary.  If people want forums, they can go to the forums, if people want to know about live events, there’s a tab with the exact same content.

Just having the news, article, and blog will look much cleaner

All in all, the aesthetics of the whole site are very nice, congratulations on the fine work!

new site

Last night I was going to post here but my internet connection failed me. Stapled have more or less already said what I was going to say but here it goes anyway.

I think the first page is way too cluttered, there is too much going on. And I think there is too little use of margins, which makes the text (and the whole page) more difficult to read. Then there’s a total of seven different scroll bars on the first page. Shouldn’t you try to keep scroll bars to a minimum? I think one scroll bar for the entire page is enough. Also, are you sure you need so much information on the start page? I think a cleaner, less cluttered first page would do a better job.

Having said that, it’s obvious that a lot of effort has been put into the new site and we all appreciate that. Great job everyone involved!

I like it.

The front page *is* busy and somewhat cluttered - some of the small margins and small fonts are uncomfortable. Buuuut I think all of that is outweighed by how convenient it is. Essentially everything I would want to see for “at a glance” and update stuff is right there.

I’m glad most of you like it -  the front page is supposed to act as a summary for the rest of the website, (sorry to hear if some of you think it’s cluttered, and bad luck those of you who have something against scrollbars)

yeah, it holds alot of information, but it also means you can tell what’s happening in the live, news, shop and forum sections by visiting one page. rather than having to click into 3 different sections.

Thankyou all taking the time to leave feedback.  :D

Totally well worth the wait - I think the site design is great.  I also love that it works fine in Opera and Safari and I that it’s not loaded with Flash (but that’s just a personal preference).  Cheers again Calx.

The new site looks great.

The home page is, as some have said, a little busy but it’s not messy and I much prefer having all the info available on one page. A job well done I reckon.

Maybe over the course of the year a YB section might be useful?
