I wonder if there would be any openings at the next Twisted gig for us to throw rose petals down on the ground just before he walks or stand next to him and fan him while he does his set?

I also hope he doesn’t read this…ha ha!!!

Haha! I hope he doesn’t as well.

This is what i think will happen.
They will pack everyone inside. The lights will go down, and everyone will wonder whats going on. Behind the door that everyone used to get in the room, there will be a bright white light, and dry ice will flow under the doors. Then the doors will burst open, showing one “Dr. Postford” wearing a cape, and he will fly onto the stage. And then of course he will play his set.

(I really hope he didnt read that….)

I’d buy two tickets and throw in a Poly 800 to see that.

I’d like to think that everything he does is accompanied by some sort of mixed-up sound effect

When he cooks breakfast, instead of hearing the bacon sizzle normally he’d hear a warped BLOOP-woooo-POP-boing-ZZZZ-POW!!! coming from the frypan

And when he drives down the street his car leaves giant fractal trails behind it LOL

(And don’t get me started on what happens when he goes to the bathroom… AWOOOGA)

Oh what a life!

I’m actually how he get’s his copy-right permission to sameple what he does; after all, some sort of royalty fee has to be paid.

Maybe Simon doesn’t bother; but that would put him at risk for lawsuits

Or, perhaps, he does get sampling permission?

Or, perhaps, in the UK, copy-rights don’t apply?

I dunno.

Personally kinda curious.

Hmmm.

Well if he was a pirate and sailed on a large ship made of wood, it wouldn’t matter. He’d be to busy drinking rum and pillaging.

If I recall correctly,  the sample from the end of Deranger (“that was real…”, helicopter and all) was in an audio demo of a Roland Space Echo (or something) unit in Future Music, probably around ‘95…

First Post!  :D

Yes, this question has also puzzled me for some time… Do all these producers actually obtain permission ??  I seriously doubt it…  Is it only if it’s a top 40 hit that anyone bothers? Enquiring minds want to know.. wink

Strictly, it is illegal to the best of my knowledge, unless you get clearance from the copyright holder… but I don’t think they (Posford and others) bother.. As I said, unless it’s a big hit.. pretty unlikely in this genre.. surely no one notices.. but I thought pressing plants/etc. could be funny about it..

As a part-time producer I’m interested to know what artists like those on the Twisted roster do.. or indeed how Twisted handle it?

Any info much appreciated! grin
