Man, that sucks. Nashville was such a short drive from me in Atlanta.

We’re still hoping for the day when we can see a full live Shpongle show in the states!

The Tabernacle is an awesome venue!...

I dunno, I don’t even believe the whole “visa problem” alibi—and I’m not the only one who thinks it’s bullocks… I think he just got a bit swamped with the show in Moscow and decided to straighten out his priorities.

errr maybe that rule happened about the same time as the rule stating a US citizen needs a visa to get into the UK to work.
Just saw a program on Swedish tv about UK immigration and they refused entry to a guy who came to work and holiday in UK. He did educational lessons for kids with puppets. Anyway instead of letting him come in for a holiday, as he stated in his interview “part work part holiday”, they sent him back the next day. IMO they could of confiscated his puppets so he was unable to work and let him come in on holiday. But alas no they did not. So yeah to work in the US as a Limey or the UK as a Yank you need a Visa.

pointykitty I think it’s not so easy to get a working visa to the states. Especially as Simon has gone there various times in 2008 to work already. So there maybe a timecap issue. ie he’s not allowed to go back so soon after working there so many times in 2008. They’re quite rigid and stringent with the laws.

Either that or they forgot to get the papers in on time.

sorry, but you are incorrect, unless this us tour was over 3 months long.

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business [visitor (B) visa purposes] for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa.

This crap really pisses me off!!! Our government spends billions of dollars on homeland security and border patrol only to leave the borders and ports wide open to anyone with illegal intentions but someone like Simon is held up due to Visa problems, WTF!!! After they issued Visa renewals to some of the dead 9/11 terrorists after 9/11 I lost all respect and hope for our government. They all need to be fired starting with Congress.    : (

I maybe incorrect. But read in to it and there are loopholes.
....not all travelers from VWP countries are eligible to use the program. VWP travelers are required to apply for authorization though the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), are screened at their port of entry into the United States, and are enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security

Don’t forget that both recent live shows had 10 major players. Any one persons travel history/immigration status could mean they’re denied access to the US, which would compromise the entire show.
