Does anyone know how close Benji is to completing his downtempo album. Also, will it have a Prometheus sound style or just be independent?

as far as how is the album going I have no idea..

I’d mentioned this on another thread and I’m very very sure that the album was complete last year and was due for release in early Nov as originally the news said that he would be playing the new album live before the Shponlge gig but it didn’t happen. 

The release then disappeared and in Dub was going to be released instead but this also disappeared.

  You’re right cloudwalker! It was the one with that funky arpeggiated guitar chord, only the dvd version was more complete with effects and a GROOVY BASS LINE. It would be terrible if all or even a lot of Benji’s tracks are going into YB… which leads me to the suspicion that since HID disappeared as well from the menu that maybe it will be doctored up for YB track(s) as well (unlikely, but just a thought)!

C’mon Twisted, why is all the time and energy going into projects involving artists of whom we all ready have plenty material (Halc., HiD, Shp., YB), instead of new and fresh projects that we have never heard ANYthing out of yet (Benji downtempo, Metal Sharon!)?

Also, someone had posted an mp3 recording of some of Benji’s new material (excellent) from the Shpongle pre-show in October but that was way back then. I would upload it, but whenever I attach something it always fails to upload :-(

as i’m just getting really into corridor of mirrors i’d love to hear these mp3s too. you could upload them to rapidshare, though i’m not sure the twisted forum is the right place to post the downloadlink. 8)

Unless my memory fails me, just before the shpongleloid team embraced the Roundhouse stage, YB tracks were just being played….? no new downtempo tracks? anyhow, I would like to hear these mp3’s as well!

I’d like to see a newsletter at least with some feedback on albums, mp3’s anything really..

Yes there were YB tracks, but mingled in with the old Prometheus tracks and YB tracks were some of Benji’s new downtempos.

  Given that I fully understand how much effort goes into making [Twisted quality ] psy-ambient albums, I would upload it to rapidshare if I have Twisted’s permission. I’m truly grateful for the dedication from Twisted artists and therefore can only place myself in Benji’s shoes that maybe he wouldn’t want a ‘pre-release’ of new tracks… but as a consolation it is a quite low quality recording so it wouldn’t be a true ‘release’ of those tracks…

Every time I listen to ‘Sweet tooth’ (Prometheus) I think how good this project could be… I fudging LOVE that song!

Anyone notice in the Shpongle news letter for the after party that Prometheus is doing an “Exclusive 3rd Album Presentation”.

Im guessing its the downtempo album.

That could be true… It does at least imply that there WILL BE a 3rd album However it doesn’t mean that it will be released anytime soon :( Otherwise a release date would probably be known. Or they’re preparing a big surprise for us all! (in which case I’ve just ruined it..)

Anyway, I’ll definately buy it if it ever comes out.

Although… Prometheus is playing in the trance room along with eat static and juno reactor… I don’t think downtempo would go down too well in that room, unless he’s starting the night off..

If that’s the case, I hope I wont miss him like last year because of the never-ending queue!!!
