Ok some of these questions are just weird now. Does Simon do drugs? Is he a millionaire?

Does it make a difference if he does, or that he is?

Sorry “If I give my pitbull LSD will it live,” is a more relevant question to post on here.

But you didn’t answer. Does it make a difference?
It’s not about having an interest and wondering about an artist or whoever it is that one thinks is great or brilliant. It’s more to do with the content of the questions.
Think if you were to interview Simon would one of your questions be, Are you a millionaire? Unless he won the lottery or inherited big, I don’t reckon. Personally I just think if any topic with questions related to Simon or Shpongle appear at least there should be some thought to it so as to make him interested enough to reply.

And I wasn’t in favour of giving the pitbull LSD either btw

I’d think not. He’s not on mtv and with everybody downloading music nowadays, can only count on touring and merchandise for money. Not that downloading music is a bad thing… there’s no chance in hell I’d ever have found any of this music without it. Double edged sword. So those who do, show support by buying shirts and stuff. But yeah, that’s really gotta make it tough to actually get *rich* from music.

Plus, a million dollars is only like 700,000 pounds. Ups the ante living over there in the UK.

Hmm. That’s a good question. I don’t think he’s a millionare, but a few hundred thousand I could believe. Simply because he does sooo much touring, and let’s not forget that he likes to multitask with his albums (Shpongle, Younger Brother, HiD, and (bits of Hall.)... guy never sleeps does he? But actually I’d prefer that he doesn’t aspire to be a millionare, b/c he might sell out like Paul Oakenfold (what a discrace his music is), although if he had a lot of money and didn’t sell out, think of all the mind warping sounds he could “brew up” with more advanced equipment wink Again, double-edged sword.

What I like most about they way Simon approaches music is that you can notice that
it takes about 2-3 years for him to finish an album. This means he throws out the songs he is not happy with and the ones he does keep he keeps tweaking the smallest little details in them until they are perfect.. and think about how many artists you know that do that? Most artists just pump out a half-assed album every year for quick cash. This is why Simon’s music is one a higher plateau, and any other music doesn’t even begin to contend with his. IMHO he is the best psy artist in the world, and this proves that hard work does pay off (with music), and he deserves every penny he has.

Because the tryptamine shape-shifting entities are creating things with vibrations, I am convinced that there is no other explanation than that they are highly advanced beings trying to teach humans how the so-called “string theory” constructs reality.

Nah !,  he cant be ,, cause if he was a millionaire ! ,,  he could have popped round to Mr Branson’s place , and purchased a few return tickets ,  for the whole Shpongle crew to fly down to Australia for the month of March ,, maybe !  do a couple of open air gigs , bit of site seeing , have a wee swim in the sea, take some pics of Kangaroo’s ,  that sort of thing !!!!
But alas ,,, we missed out
A. Cause of a shonky promotor and
B. Cause he’s not a millionaire.

Cant believe it was on the cards , “Shpongle coming to Oz” ,,,  ya beeeeuaty !!
then ,, oops!, sorry,  not coming now,,  it’s enough to put ye aff yer porridge !

but guess who was here in March ??  ,,, Paul (perfecto) Oakenfold ,,  oh yes !  pops over from his Las Vegas Club spot , for the weekend to do a couple of hours of posing,  and probably got paid squillions ,,  ( slumdog ),,

Not even close I’d say - in a fair world maybe he should be
I’m sure he doesn’t sell enough music and ploughs too much back into the label and machines etc. And besides - I’ve never seen him on MTV Cribs

Didn’t Ott say once that he’d (as in Ott) only ever bought one piece of equipment that wasnt second hand once - although I’m guessing thats probably his choice.  Works very nicely indeed anyway.

Also you have to remember Posford is still a joint stakeholder in Twisted Records

I’m guessing any spare cash goes back into the project?

I think it’s a good Question , not that it matters if he is but more for the discussion.
I know my friends and I have had that argument a lot of times back home.

My say is that he is close to being , from what I know he charges a lot of money for an over seas gig (the sum I heard of was around 8,000 pounds + 5 star suit and first class air tickets) but I really can say if it’s correct or not.

Assuming that that is the price range my guess is that just on live gigs he makes around 240,000 ponds (30 gigs a year ) plus add the royalties from albums and merchandise and the revenues from the label you get another couple of hundred thou a year..

But we will never know and I think that it is better off this way. Keep the Mystery smile

Hahaha. I don’t reckon that he gets 5 star suite when saying playing Azora fest or similar festivals :D :D

I agree. But whatever he earns I say it’s more than deserved. If the joy, happiness and pleasure that he spreads with his music gives him a comfortable life, great for him. There are so many artists who are so very very bad, awful in fact and they live in huge mansions, have loads of cash and shit and are idolised by the sheep population of the world.

No doubt about that, what ever Simon’s getting payed it is not enough in my opinion. Hence the reason I will pay any price asked from me In order to see him when he gets here.

And about the 5 star suit , It might be a myth but again he deserves it..
