Hey all,

I’m planning a trip to England with my younger brother to catch the Shpongle show, then we’re headed for a couple of days in Amsterdam..

Anyways, I’d like to hear from people who have been to the Roundhouse before and can tell me a bit about the “circle seated 2nd floor” seats vs the “main stage” seats. Anything you know regarding the sound quality and view diffrences, basically which one is preffered, in your opinion offcourse. Also if anyone knows about the “exclusive bar” tickets? is it any good?

Thank you all very very much !!!

Hi

There are no seats in the main area it’s just standing, well it was for the show last year. Last year I sat in the top left side about 15-20 meters from the vip bar(Which is good if you want to be able to buy a beer and not miss too much of the show or if you want to miss the big queues before the show starts. However it was stuck in the top left corner so it didn’t have the best vantage point). It was a good view as I was in the front row but there were some little sound issues sitting up there. I got seats more central this time but not at the front. It depends on if you want to be near the stage and to be with the crowd that was quite packed. I have some pictures on myspace so you can see how it was.

Shpongle - Roundhouse - 311008 - Pictures

If you can’t see them(They should be public)let me know please or if you have myspace add me.

Hope this helps

I went last year and how it breaks down is the main standing room is the best experience imo.  You can get as close to the stage as you want and you can mingle with all the people.  The seating is just the 2nd floor looking down onto the crowd/stage- I mean do you really think you’d sit for a Shpongle show?  I know I didn’t…

I see what you mean but to up there and feel the whole energy from down below was an awesome experience. Plus you can get up and dance

Yeah at some point I would have liked to go up there and just overlook the crowd but being PART of it was amazing.  I could just feel the energy coming from everyone.  It was pure bliss.

The only nitpick I have is that big time shows usually work in a encore just as part of the show and expect people to ask for it.  They did not.  They just finished their set and left and never even came back out a second time to even say goodnight again.  The crowd booing was in poor taste as well imo.  Bad on both parties.  I hope that they work out all the glitches for this show and obviously put it on a live stream like last year and release a dvd…
