agreed, it would be great, but dont hold your breath over it. The way I see it, the only album that is for sure coming out this year is the new Shpongle, only because they’ve set a deadline (Roundhouse in October) that they HAVE to stick to. I’d say we wont see Younger Brother 3 until 2010 and maybe Hallucinogen 3 in late 2010. I hope to be eating those words later if they come out sooner than I expected.

It would be insane to release 3 albums at around the same time. Spread them over time to keep the business going.

I say SPLURGE!!! Twisted could release 10 albums at once and we’d eat them all up as long as they were truly Twisted quality…. and with that, I say if they meet the standards get them out ASAP! After the huge wait for HiD Live it would be nice to see a quick succession of Twisted releases!

I think we may see new YB album 2010 but to be honest now I’m not even sure Posford will ever do another Hallucinogen album.  I’d love to see it too but I’m preparing for the worst, Metal Sharon is also a shelved project..

Deffinatley not but would still be interested in the direction of a new Hallucinogen album..

Well, let’s hope that Simon will devote more time to new Hallucinogen album after YB and Shpongle are released.

I have never liked dark psy and I never understood the attraction.  For a while, it seemed like that’s the direction that most psytrance producers were going and that style was quickly becoming the most popular within psytrance.  It’s extremely repetitive, unoriginal, boring, simple, and not psychedelic at all, definitely a step back for the genre, not a new development in any way.  As soon as I hear a track that starts with that same kick and bass pattern that you hear in 95% of dark psy tracks, I’m done.  I tried to give it a chance in the beginning, but that didn’t last long because it was a disappointment every time. 

I would love for anybody on this forum to give me the name of one good dark psy album.

Hmmm… the dark psy i’ve heard sounds monotonous, too fast, irritating, sometimes ‘macho’... and totally un-psychedelic. So if that is the closest thing to Hallucinogen, it doesn’t make me want to contribute anything to the gene pool…. but maybe i haven’t heard the good stuff… I don’t have a copy of ‘Reason’, so i’m not sure i could do something on that level anyway….
