The music is similar except for being slightly quicker and appealing to clubs. They use similar samples (from movies, interviews, etc.), even Raja Ram (one half of Shpongle) is with them. So why aren’t they on Twisted Records?

That’s my random thought of the day.

1200 Mics are signed to TIP.World, which was founded by Raja Ram, so since its more like his band so I guess he wanted to release on his own label.

1200 mics are no more…they’ve split up, from what i read Riktam was getting tired of writing all the (cheesy IMO) music and the money being split 4 ways between him, bansi, raja, and chicago. scandalous!

...and that’s probably why they weren’t signed to Twisted Rec. First album was ok, but imo not a Twisted material.

A lot of their stuff was cheesy but I consider the Time Machine to be pretty awesome and genuine. That’s the only CD I could see being on the Twisted label.

I like cheese.
