I was hoping for an artwork done by Alex Grey…

I am surprised there isn’t a Shpongle mask in it…. would be the first Shpongle album not to, and I love that mask smile

Pretty interesting though, I would like to see a higher res image of it.

I wonder if there are more Hindu influences in the album, considering the location… I always love the samples of Indian music in Shpongle or Ott, so that would be welcome to me.

Anyways, I care more about what the album sounds like than anything else, and I have my hopes set fairly high for this one. Can’t wait til October.

Looks Good and mystical !

if the Shpongle face will somehow appear in the fluffy clouds above the mountains it would be nice… a Shpongle mask made of clouds.  cool smile

looks pretty cool, and now they’ve used up their excuse for the artwork not being done so there’s no chance of the album getting delayed on that front thankfully. cant wait to hear this album!

cant quite make out what the red line on the left side is or why its there? its sort of distracting.

...there are several tracks with Hindu melodies, chanting etc. as I recall the last year’s live. And Manu Delago’s great hangdrum solo.

This artwork reminds me a bit of the Shpongle posters from the Roundhouse…

If this is anything like the progression on the other albums, it will be awesome.  Artwork looks a little less psychedelic, but there’s something sinister about it!

I would love to see a spookier, even more cultured side of Shpongle.  And it would be nice if there were just a handful of long tracks like on the first CD.  Somehow, even though I loved Nothing Lasts, the huge amount of tracks (and fast, unsettling pace) detracted from the quality.

Completely agree… I hardly ever listen to Nothing Lasts… because I feel like so much of it is filler material. Tales of the Inexpressible would be the Shpongle album I would like to hear the most influence from, as it is one of my all time favorites of any genre.

Can’t wait to hear what they are cookin’ up for us…

is it me or does the shadow thats cast from the man form the shpongle mask in perspective?

My mind is probably creating the illusion due to the surprising lack of the shpongle mask LOL

Thorgerson did a fabulous job on the new cover!!  Any chance of releasing a small signed print run of the new Shpongle cover album artwork?  Its time for some new merchandise and I would love to own a Thorgerson print.

On the Shpongle poster there is a girl coming down the stairs with that same ribbon wrapped around her neck…guess it’s the same thing here.

I’m pretty sure that the picture of that poster is the Shpongle Live DVD cover.

Well I must say I love the artwork as I’ve been to India and secondly as I practise Yoga so appriciate the Indian dude in Lotus posture..

Would have like a sneaky Shpongle mask tucked away somewhere to spot though…Storm T is a genius!!

Really look forward to this and the gig..
