Interesting band name! I’m working on a new project as well but I’m not sure what to call it yet. I’m leaning towards either “Older Sister” or “Hellucinogen”. I’ll probably go with “Hellucinogen” because I’m trying to start a new genre called “Death Trance”. Oh yeah, my record label is going to be called “Twisting Pretzels”.

LOL spangled as a word, has been around for ever!! and if you do a search so many people on forumz call them self spangled or shpangled, where i live the word shpangled meenz bein silly or off ur face.Thatz why we adopted it, itz a state of MIND OR MYND and not a rip off, B4 we called our selfz that i got in touch with the twisted folkz 2 see if they mind or mynd!!and it iz bekuz we are inspired by what they have done,, but they are in a league of there own, but bekuz off comment like yourz we are now goin 2 be The Art of nature, BUT WE have a fan base that only knows us and not shpongle and bein shpangled iz not the same az bein shpongled itz a different state of mind..and if you chek our muzik out, u kan see we are in a league of our own.glad u like the tunez thou!!AND WE HAVE BEEN AROUND GETTIN SHPANGLED FOR A FEW YEARZ NOW!!

It just seems a bit tacky and of poor taste in my opinion to make excuses for near mimicking or almost imitating other artists ideas and using their website to promote it all. Why limit your originality and uniqueness? If your music is truly worth listening to then make it your own and promote it in a more respectful way. Maybe “Shpangle” is a slang term used in your part of the world but promoting a band called “Shpangle” on a record labels website that promotes their band “Shpongle” is just too close to ignore and a bit ballsy from a legal point of view. A good example would be if you started telling everyone that you were Simon Vaughn, Benji Posford or Ram Raja from the band “Shpangle”... get my point? These are just my opinions but I’m sure others would probably agree. But anyways….I really like your version of “net grammar”, it’s very creative in a confusing sort of way. Cheers!  : )

I’m gonna have to go with Airspeed on this one… wayyyy too close and you are definitely stepping on some toes as far as I’m concerned. Not only is your group name Shpangle, your album is supposed to be titled ‘We Is Shpangled’. Tried listening to your music on Last.fm, and while it’s not a Shpongle copy, it definitely isn’t psychedelic like Shpongle… dunno what to say, other than work on your grammar some, also. I know you may not be a native English speaker, but using slang like “mine or myne” or “b4” or “becuz” does not gain you any credit or esteem as a musician. That’s my two cents.
