Hi guys, I keep hearing the acoustic riff from When Shall I Be Free in my dreams.

What instrument is this, a rebab or some kind of lute?  Or an electric guitar with processing effects?

Has a middle eastern sound to it like a Persian lute or something…  Love to know what it is, or what type of processing achieves that if it’s a guitar behind the scenes..

I thought it was a sitar with some fx/tweaking to achieve the end sound.

According to discogs, Simon played guitar on that track.

Sounds like one to me…
