well, Shpongle - ” Are You Shpongled? ” and ” Tales Of The Inexpressible ” are definitely in the category of legendary ground-breaking masterpieces.

another album that in my opinion falls under that category is Violet Vision - ” First Sign Of Communication “

I won’t say that it’s a legendary album but it’s definitely one of the most interesting and unusual albums of the last 10 years and in general.
some of the tracks are ground-breaking for sure, quite experimental and beautifully produced and arranged.

the duo brought some crazy ideas into life on this album.

-Anything from Ozric Tentacles. What a great band, no matter who they revolve through the different instruments.

-The older trancy Infected Mushroom music. The new stuff makes me angry!

-Of course the first two Hallucinogen albums. Simon’s ability to put unique character into every song is just brilliant. These stay in the car and get played every time I realize how bad and commercialized FM radio really is. Come on Simon, we need a new Hallucinogen album before the world ends in 2012. : )

-As cheesy as some of it is, I love 80’s synth heavy synthpop. Think “Sixteen Candles”, “Breakfast Club” and “Ferris Bueller”.

-As far as ambient goes of course Brian Eno, Moby’s “Ambient” album and my favorite has to be all of the Klaus Schulze “Dark Side of the Moog” albums.
