Any news on it? It was originally scheduled for 2009, unless I’m mistaken.

I’m dyin’ for some new Ott material, and a whole album inspired by the creators of “The Queen of All Everything” really makes me excited!

Highly anticipating this album too.
As far as some new ott stuff. He has put out a couple remix tunes if you havent heard them.
The spectacle (STS9), its on the Peaceblaster New Orleans remix album
Prayers for Rain (Bluetech), on Natural Born Chillers 2 off Aleph-Zero records.

Ive seen him 4 times in this year and he has not played any new material :(

I swear i spend over an hour every day trying to find news on new OTT stuff.

The Umberloid album has been put on hold as it was proving impossible for Chris and I to ever get some time to get it done. This may change in the future.

I have been touring a lot this year as well as moving house and being a dad and all that, but after my October 2009 tour finishes I will be taking six months off from playing live to make a new Ott album which I hope to have finished by Spring 2010.

If it goes well we may well re-start the Umberloid album and get it done.

By the way,

Take your time Ott, no rush. Im sure we would all rather wait and have it perfect than rushed.
Ill see you in Kansas City in October!

Good luck with that. Looking forward to it. I have the space reserved in my coolest music cd rack for it.(Also there are places for Ineffable mysteries from Shpongleland, 3rd YB, and hopefully a 3rd Hallucinogen album)
Maybe you can find time after it’s done to swing by Scandinavia area to promote it and do a set or 2 We saw a Hallucinogen set in Denmark a couple of years ago so it would be cool if some more of you could get over this way.

New Ott album ! possibly finished by Spring 2010 ! sounds Great to me
I wonder how that sonic delicacy will taste like…

and surely the Umberloid album will be a real treat as well.

the new arrangement for ” Spannered In Pilton ” is totally mind-blowing !
it would be great if you will release it on a nice compilation someday.
all the new arrangements are wonderful and the live manipulations as well.

Btw, found this in an Ott show review:

Regarding any future remixes of Hallucinogen, Ott says, “That was a one-time thing. And we’ve considered doing something downtempo with Shpongle, but it just seems wrong, and it’s sort of been done. I do have a very cool remix project a la Hallucinogen In Dub in the works, though, so if you enjoyed that, you’re going to love these.”

When pressed about exactly who he would remix this time around, Ott played his cards close to the chest, saying “I can’t reveal the name without giving it all away, but you’ll know it when you see it.”

Ya mate! drove through there a few weeks ago on my way to ZOE for underground sound. Im in kansas city!

Cool, I know alot of people in KC. I go there pretty often.
