Too many to name, man.

Aleph Zero is a great label.  My favorite would have to be Celestial Dragon though.  They have artists like Androcell, Distant System, (val)Liam, and Indigo Egg.  Plus, their compilations are magnificent and usually have something from Ishq on them, who I find to be the most talented music producer alive right now.  smile

Interchill, Peak Records, Dakini, Ultimae, Fluid Audio, Six Degrees, Liquid Sound, Dubmission, Altar Records…......

Too many indeed tongue laugh

My two favorite record labels would be Twisted and Ultimae.

Ultimae is great, with Solar Fields (I especially like his last two chill albums “Leaving Home” and “Movements”) and Carbon Based Lifeforms (“Hydrophonic Garden” and “World of Sleepers” are great!) and Asura (his last album “Life2” is also very good) and the H.U.V.A Network “Distances” album also rocks (didn’t really dig the newest HUVA album though)..

Aleph Zero is indeed good, the last Shulman album is excellent. For the rest, there’s of course everything from Shpongle, YB, OTT…

O yea and I enjoyed J. Viewz “Muse Breaks” album very much as well! And I agree with the guy above me about Celestial Dragon, cause Androcell and Distant System (same guy I believe) is also great music :-)

I probably missed out a lot, but I mentioned most of the albums I (physically) possess so I guess those are the ones I really enjoy grin One I do not possess (cause it’s not availale) but do enjoy a lot also is “Cell - Phonic Peace”. Great style! Cell is now with Ultimae and I heard he’ll release an album there sometime soon.. Asura also has a new album in the pipeline over there..

Yeah Androcell is amazing. I bought Distant System’s Spiral Empire, but it kinda let me down. Really didnt get into as much.
Solar Field-Movements is also good.

Bluetech and Shulmans newer stuff is all very good. Aleph-Zeros Natural Born Chiller compilations are amazing.

Malicious Damage are lucky enough to have The Orb at the moment.

Then there is always AmbientLive.

So so many to choose as I love ambient/chill stuff…but anyway:

Solar Fields - Extended & Leaving home.
Anything by Ishq or recorded under a different name.
Anything on Dakini Records.
Heavenly Music corporation - Silent Records (any album, but the label is long gone).
Terence McKenna - Dream Matrix Telemetry.
Music for a busy head - Matt Coldrick.

I could continue…. grin

Define “chillout” please.
That’s a VERY vague word…

Ah, great stuff!

Does anybody here dig The Ochi Brothers? I have one amazing CD by them, but others are so hard to obtain…

Yeah, I do, and anything else on the Dakini label as well, especially Makyo.

Another great artist with releases on Dakini (and other labels) is Adham Shaikh, my favourite album of his is Fusion.

Two great Peak Records albums:

Flooting Grooves - Upsyde Downe

The Peaking Goddess Collective - Organika

Third Ear Audio is truly amazing. It’s a collab with Doof and Earthling, not just doof.

I’m surprised so few people mention them, I guess cause they’ve done absolutely no promotion, but their entire debut cd (which just came out a couple months ago) is available for a free listen on their myspace: www.myspace.com/thirdearaudio

Classically, after you have been “trance-dancing” for several hours no-stop,
you tend to be “hot and sweaty”. Chill-out music was where you went to literally
“chill-out” from the physical activity, and maybe have a “smoke”. Therefore the
music played in this context became “chill-out”.
At least that is how I perceived it “back in the day"tm.

The Ochi brothers album on Dakini is great, I tracked down another one by them called beating the earth which was out later, very different though and heavily drum influenced.  They’ve also had tracks on various compilations like Ultimae which are very nice.

Tribal Matrix 2 on Dakini is well worth getting… grin

FSOL’s Lifeforms is simply divine whenever I need to relax.

Anyone on here a fan of Ozric Tentacles? They’re great to chillout too as well:
