You’re way out of your league here. I’ve listened to half the music in these genres for the last 15 years so I have a fairly good idea how they progressed.

Something tells me you’re one of those people that just listens to their favorite tracks on their ipod on repeat over and over. If you want to attempt to understand, the first step is to learn how to listen to albums you don’t particularly enjoy with an open mind and give them several chances. The second step is to learn to control yourself to not listen to the albums you do really enjoy. Once you can do that you can undertake the musical journey and experience it for yourself.
