I never asked for help. So that was why you registered, to help me? Well, thank you so much for your “help” but I did not need it. I like Hallucinogen albums, so don’t tell me what I like because you don’t know me.

Who says that I should like the shit you listen to?

It’s good that you’re out. thanks for that too.

Oh dear, please spare me the wrath of the prepubescent boy.

Twisted Records is one of the most commercial psy labels, yet they are the only psy label to stoop to crying publicly about not selling enough CDs. Better to spend your money supporting smaller labels and emerging artists that really have money problems. Twisted already sells thousands of each CD, they will hardly notice it if you just download their music in high quality instead.

...surely the real substance of the record label lies within its music…not 20 page booklets that kill forests…

Oh sure, but it’s a package deal, the music and the artwork, and it helps sell the real thing in the modern world. Admit it’s a damn good marketing strategy. wink

DumbDuck - 20 October 2009 07:58 AM

psybient or ambidelic? wink here’s a monkey wrench for ya…

Only one of them has a wikipedia page, that’s the one I’ll go with. smile

okyup, you are the epitome of why Simon was talking about not posting on the Twisted forums anymore. Please, for all our sake, get the fuck out of here and don’t post again.

Hey, what was wrong with wcta wonka?
LOL.

Okyup, leave the philanthropy to the philanthropists…

I can’t understand this, why bother registering and posting in the Twisted forums if you don’t like the music?

You two should get a life, a job perhaps… or a girl friend, try one of those : )

Hey Simon,

Guess what?  I’ve seen you three times this year in Colorado.  Met you at the Mishawaka show in Fort Collins (where was Balloonboy then? smile ).  Every show I was at was packed, which was great to see.  I also own all the Shpongle, Younger Brother, and Ott albums on CD.

But I did not hesitate to download the leaked version of the new album, which is a full mp3 rip at 320kpbs, as good as it’s gonna get mp3-wise.  I’ve also preordered it.  Never once in my mind did I feel bad about it.  I’ve done so much personal promotion for you and your label that you should be sending me free CDs to make it up to me.  LOL

And yes, those people I shared it with immediately bought your albums.  I play your music all the time at work and have been asked frequently what the hell is this coming out of my speakers.  And no, not just the 12 active members on this board will be buying your album.

So yes, your music is getting out there, and no, you’re probably not making as much money as you should, but you are packing the house when you play live.  How is this happening?  Word of mouth or stealing?  I’m curious: Would you rather make a lot of money or have a lot of people here your work?  It’s a tough call, but I’d like to here your answer.

It’s heartbreaking for me to hear that Twisted isn’t doing as well as I thought. I mean I know its a small label, but I guess i didn’t fully realize how much you guys are actually struggling to keep up.
However (optimistically) I think that your extremely loyal fanbase will keep the label afloat, If not just barely. As an overall label the smaller labels tend to put a tremendous amount more passion into the music, and of course this shows in each and every release.

Keep it up Simon, we will all continue to buy releases, it is important to support the artists you feel deserve it most!

The death of Twisted would be a sad day indeed, and I hope I never have the misfortune of witnessing such an event.

My greetings!
i don’t really think Simon have to worry about this situation.

i think everyone who loves Simon’s music will buy the cd.
and amount of that people won’t decrease after files leaked.

also, those people who are not planning to buy cd (usually) have to wait 1-2 days after official release to download mp3 from the internet. so is it a big difference will they recieve their mp3 shortly after off. release or just before it?

i dled the files (when i saw them i decided that was rip from cd-promo or smth),
and of course its not to be compared with bought cd record. im actually a twisted fan and of course i will recieve this shpongle cd for my collection. i think all others do so. and that files is not a hitch.

im sure, Simon will recieve all desired cash for this album. and not only for paying electricity wink

My best regards! (and please forgive my poor English)

Anyway this topic has taken quite a turn since I read it last night.

To okyup

Ultimae has some great music and I myself have bought 8 albums and also the fahrenheit projects 1-6 (but I got them seperately because they hadn’t released them as a collection before I bought them) but this pretty much covers the spectrum of the music ultimae offers. Yes it is pretty similar in most of it’s tracks. I have always liked their releases and yes it is nice with the extra stuff in the in the digipack and the nagchampa stick is a nice touch. However they are charging 11 euros a cd roughly
