Not sure if this overlaps other threads, but I just read a little bit about Twisted needing more $ intake and thought maybe we could have a thread with ideas?

Maybe posters could be added to the Merch? You could hold a contest asking for submissions or just put the word out that you are looking for donations… I know that a lot of artists are incredibly inspired by twisted and would be more than willing to create something. Or posters with already existing album artwork, and signed copies for even more $?

Also, more cds and merch at festivals, especially hoodies and tees with just the twisted logo on it.

Well, I think it really depends on how much supply Twisted has to meet the demand. Downloading effects the demand to some degree, of course; but the demand is there nonetheless.

So ideas on how to increase the demand for Twisted products would be… word of mouth? Maybe get some marketing out there for Twisted artists. Though, word of mouth would be fairly cost-effective if you were to depend more on the fan base to get the word around.

I’ve got a couple of good ideas, especially for those of us that love music production…

#1 [TWSDVD003] THE MAKING OF HALLUCINOGEN 3 (In the studio with Simon Posford)

#2 An online subscription area where Simon, Benji and Ott open up about creating electronic music. A lot of us would love to see these guys create a track from scratch. If the subscription area was updated with new stuff on a regular basis I think $50 a year would be a great price and well worth the money education wise. With the knowledge and skills from these three musicians I’m sure Twisted would make a big profit from a service like this. Please Simon, please!!!!

In the other thread there were ideas about HQ digital downloads including artwork, I think this is not a bad idea either, since there are some people who want to buy Twisted’s music but don’t need CD’s.

Heeheeeheeeheeeheee, Simon Posford dolls are the way forward…..ones with a little guitar and maybe even strokable hair (pmsl). Or what about a pocket sized Ott? He’s so cute, imagine you had an Ott you could just carry about in your pocket - ace! I think I might be onto something here, you could bring out a whole range of Twisted dolls, with clothes, accessories erm…....

I do hope all is well in Twisted land though

Yeah, Bill from Cosmosis already offers something similar, which for me, who’s thinking about taking the leap from light to sound is mighty tempting.

If its good enough for Bill, its good enough for Simon. wink
