What’s your favourite psychedelic music, aside from Twisted?

I got trolled on another topic, and it had to do with my signature which is a Butthole Surfers quote. If you don’t know them, they were a 80s-90s band that made overtly psychedelic music (they even have an album called Humpty Dumpty LSD). I guess something similar in time and tone for the UK would have been maybe Terminal Cheesecake or Psychick TV. I can recommend a few epic Butthole Surfers tracks if you want to have your head twisted inside out: P.S.Y. (indeed!), Space or Bongsong.

Hey, hey, hey, why are you getting so personal calling me a schmuck you meshugeneh yutz?

That’s what I said to the troll who kept trolling me and has since been kicked off this message board. A really nasty piece of work she was I must say! Thought I’d edit this post so it doesn’t seem totally non-contextual.

Don’t feed the troll whores Jahful.

As for the topic, I consider Amon Tobin’s newer work to be extremely psychedelic.  smile

Jefferson Airplane

The Doors

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzRE7xp7zqE (you won’t believe it’s that good until you got through to 3:50…)

and the more recent stuff:

Easily Embarassed

Hol Baumann

I hope you don’t dislike youtube links on this forum. I think of them as just a bad quality source to make people interested in something. Nobody really wants to listen to youtube instead of a cd or original mp3/4, do they?

sensitive, you are such a lovable, positive character. May I carry your child?

Oh, my mistake - I forgot that you don’t possess any semblance of reproductive parts.

Dear Doctor Doom, I read your recent letter. Will the circle remain unbroken? Slip inside this house as you walk by.

Loved that Hol Baumann by the way!

Nice Indian classical music is incredibly deep and trippy.  A good raga can really send me flying through space.  Good didj music is also quite trippy… and then there is Goa. So much incredible psychedelia came out of the main labels back in the day (TIP, Blue Room, Dragonfly, Flying Rhino, Psychic Deli, Cabbage, Transient, Matsuri Productions, Spirit Zone, and many others).

That’s pretty nice, but I’m referring to more non-electronic classical music.

Like the following :
